I just made reservations for here around 5:30 before the Mickey Halloween party. I realize it says business casual and now i'm wondering if 1: It's going to be a long meal, 2: If DS is going to be inappropriate in his costume since we'll be leaving right after to go there.

They had openings at the Grand Floridian Cafe. Do you think that would be more approrpiate?


(We did get reservations at Kona Cafe the next night! I'm already excited about that!!!!)

If your looking for a quicker type meal before you hit the party, then the cafe would be more what your looking for. For us, Narcoosees is more of a sit down and enjoy the meal type of place and we normally spend 1 1/2-2 hours there. You could nix app's and dessert and be out of there sooner though, but if that were the case I probably wouldn't bother eating there, although everyone is different. I don't think your DS will look out of place at Narcoosees in a costume though-its Disney...they expect that! I've seen kids at many of the better table service restaurants in some sort of costume (princesses, pirates and halloween garb). Do what you think is best.

Thank you for the response! I think i'm going to go ahead and change it to the other. Although, the food looks wonderful! We might have to save that for some time when we feel brave enough to do a "date night" at Disney

Yeah, I would definitely recommend Narcoosees, but certainly when you are able to take your time and enjoy all the restaurant has to offer. GF Cafe is good for a quicker meal, especially when your going to MNSSHP. Have fun!

I wouldn't cancel if you're dying to try it, we went to FF the night (5:30) we went to MNSSHP and did fine. We got to MK a little before 8, but it was okay since we had an easy time getting in. There were lots of kids already in costume that night, same with when we went to CG on a PPP night.

I think your good at Narcoossee's. Our meal was a normal length. It's really nice there.

I wouldn't cancel it. Since you have one of the first ADR of the night you will probably be be seated very quickly. You can order right away and probably be out of there by 7. Yes you could enter the park at 4 but 7 is when the party really begins. Than you can take the monorail to the MK and you will be there soon after 7. It might not be the slow paced meal of a date night but it will still be great food and a good start to the night!
