Narcoossees or Ohana?

Which would you reserve for a couple's anniversary to eat and enjoy fireworks?

We went to Ohana a few years ago on our anniversary trip. We were given a table in a not great spot and kind of forgotten about. I don't think Ohana is a a great place to watch the fireworks from necessarily.

We are in the minority, but we also didn't love Narcoossees, where we had our actual anniversary meal. The server was awkward with us (but nicer to other tables), and the food was good but not great and very expensive.
We also did not get a table with the best view (but we didn't ask either since we had already seen the fireworks from the Poly a previous night) (We could have stepped out on the deck to view the fireworks, though)

If I had to do it over again, I would try California Grill.

Easy option, Narcoossees.
Ohana is loud and noisy. Not what I would consider as a great spot for an anniversary. Not likely to get a good spot to see the fireworks.
Narcoossees is much more upscale, can still be loud depending on the time of day you are there.
Can go outside to watch fireworks.

Love Narcoossee's. It's more along the lines of a date night restaurant. Lovely views of the lake. Easy to walk the grounds and catch fireworks after dinner.

Ohana is family friendly. And loud. And best for binge drinking/eating with rowdy friends. But it's also easy to step outside and watch fireworks.

I've never been to Narcoossee's, but agree with PPs that Ohana is NOT an anniversary spot. DH and I ate there last trip and were sat at a two person table in the middle of the restaurant. Immediately after we sat, one of the coconut races came by directly at us, kids bumping into the table and yelling. We laughed, but not a place we would have wanted to spend a special occasion.

Thank you all for your advice! We thought about Yachtsman's too (which we love) but we are doing a resort day that day (staying at Poly) and wanted to just relax and walk to dinner.

Hands down Narcossees. Call ahead to Disney Dining and have them make note on your reservation that you are celebrating an anniversary. We went there for our anniversary dinner last summer and they gifted us a gorgeous dessert sampler at the end of our meal unexpectedly. You can also try asking for a table by one of the windows---we got lucky and were seated there.

Great idea! Thank you.

We love them both, but for a celebration dinner, I would choose Narcoossees. We have been there twice and found the food to be excellent both times. Last year our ADR was during fireworks time and we were able to see from our seats, but you were welcome to go out to the deck and watch too.

We've been at 'Ohana 2 or 3 times during fireworks and it has never been offered for them to save our table while we went out to watch the fireworks. With the popularity of that place, I can't imagine them allowing a table to just sit empty for nearly 45 minutes while you go down to the beach to watch the fireworks and then come back and pick up where you left off. There is no observation deck type place at the Polynesian to jut "step outside" and watch.

Narcoossee hands down. It is much more relaxed and intimate. Definitely ask at the podium if you can get a table by the windows. We sat at one right behind a bench outside. As Happily Ever After went off and it was great as there where people sitting on the bench, so no one was standing right outside the window.

I think people are confused. You can go outside at NARCOOSEE's to watch the fireworks. There is a lovely deck and they pipe in the music. DD and I did this last August, with a glass of wine. Our appetizers were brought to the table as soon as we came back inside (yup, late dinner... we always dine late).

Ohana is my families favorite restaurant but this is easy for a romantic and quiet meal Narcoossee's. Althou we have Ohana we usually eat at Narcoossee's once a trip.

Two vastly different restaurants. Easy answer though, Narcoossee is the better choice for a celebratory dinner. Great food. Excellent views of fireworks.

For an anniversary, definitely Narcoosee's just for the atmosphere and view. If you want a more varied menu and a stunning view of the fireworks from MK, EP and DHS, go to Cali Grill!

Umm. That's not what I said. I am suggesting that you can be at the Polynesian or GF grounds and watch fireworks at night.

I apologize for misunderstanding. At Narcoossees, you really can "step outside and watch the fireworks" mid-meal and so I thought that is what you were saying about 'Ohana also.
