I am trying to decide which resturant would be best to spend the 2 TS credits at. My family does like steak but also seafood. My youngest DD (20) is a major food network addict and I think Narcoosee would be a great experience. Any thoughts? I have LeCelliers booked but so many posts about whether it is worth the 2 credits has me concerned. Thanks!

I don't think that anybody can really say yet whether Le Cellier will be worth 2 TS. Out of the other 2, I like Yachtsman better than Narcoosees. Narcoosees is my least favorite of the Disney dining signatures. For good steak/fish/seafood, I'd recommend Flying Fish over Narcoosees.

Love Narcoossee's and Le Cellier', we did not like Yachtsman at all. I think Le Cellier' is worth the 2 credits.

Le Cellier- The best meal I've ever had!!!!! The atmosphere is O.K., service was really good, seating is cramped.

Narcoossee's - Awesome food (not as good as Le Cellier but still terrific.) Great atmosphere, great service, spectacular veiw especially during the fireworks.

You can't go wrong with either of these.

My family ate at Narcoossee's last December and it was our favorite meal of the trip. There was a nice mixture of seafood (lobster, yum) and steak (filet mignon, surf and turf) on the menu. We ordered the crab cakes and calamari appetizers (both were really good - especially the calamari). For entrees we had the lobster (very good), filet mignon, and surf and turf. For dessert we had the sorbet trio and the chocolate mousse (very pretty to look at and it tasted really good). Additional, as the PP mentioned, we had a very pretty view of the fireworks and Electric Water Pageant. I would highly recommend Narcoossee's.

I think the food is great at Yatchsmens but I like the overall atmosphere better at Narcoosies

I hav never been to narcoosies but am going to on my next trip. Lecellier is better than yachtsman in my opinion. But if you want a lot of food (like my dad haha) totally go for Yachtsman's. :cool1:

Le Cellier is a MUCH better choice over Yachtsman...we ate there last Friday and it was shamefully awful ..DH went to see the Manager the next day and another couple we were with have sent a letter of complaint it was so bad.
:confused3

Narcoossee, without a doubt.

We've eaten at all three multiple times and Narcoossee is a true standout.

We LOVE Yachtsman, but we are huge steak people, and we loved the atmosphere of Le Celliar, but I don't think it is worth 2 TS credits. We thought that Narcossee was quite loud, but the food was pretty decent.

I think you can't go wrong with any of your choices, have a nice trip!

Hi, I'm curious about why it was so bad and what you ordered. I have an ADR for Yachtsman (staying at YC) for our first night, and I was only able to get a 6:45 pm ressie, which is too late for us, so I was thinking about cancelling. Maybe if you tell me why your meal was so terrible I won't feel so bad!

Love all 3, but I would go with Narcoossees. The lobster is so good and the almond cheesecake is the best dessert I have ever had!

We've eaten at all 3 but Narcoossee's is our FAVE restaurant in the all the "World". The surf and turf is to die for. We had a great meal and experience both times we've eaten there. Plus it's nice to watch EP and Wishes. Of the other 2 I liked LeCellier better than Yachtsman. Good Luck! It's hard to make a decision when everybody has different experiences.

Def the Yachtsman, we had the most wonderful meal there last month. The filet and NY Strip were delicious

Didnt like Narcoossee's

Le Cellier. We've had 3 dinners with the new menu, and all were amazing.

Never liked Yachtsman very much, and we feel that Narcoossee's has gone down a bit. The surf and turf seemed not-so-fresh during our last 2 meals there.

you didn't include it in your list but I have to say that Citrico's blew us away on our last trip.

Yachtsmen's actually was a let down after all the hype. It was very very good but I expected THE best beef I have ever had in my life and it wasn't. LeCellier....haven't been in forever but the atmosphere alone makes me say no to a 2TS experience. I love love love the food there but no.....I am not sitting in that dark cramped space for 2TS. Haven't done Narcoosee's yet but have heard so many mixed results that I don't know what to think. We do have it on our list to try next time as DH loves seafood. California Grill is also a fav 2TS but has gotten so busy that some nights they miss a little from the perfection I am used to from them. The experience of dining up there though, especially if you get seating during WISHES, is well worth it.

If MickiNikki is around, she has dined at many many many of the places and gets to visit often enough that she could probably give you a better idea of not only good food/atmosphere but also more insight into consistent good dining.

I should preface that we dined at the Yachtsman last fall and it was very good, hence why we planned to eat there this trip. A friend that lives in Florida suggested an offsite restaurant..but as we had the dining plan and had enjoyed a good meal previously we coerced her to come join us here. Big mistake for which we still feel badly..

We were a party of 7...5 of us arrived 25 mins prior and chose to have a drink in the bar before eating. DH went to the podium to tell them where we were and should the other 2 arrive to please direct them to where we were. They told us at that time they were running behind and our reservation at 8:35 p.m would be approx 15 mins later..which was fine. About 10 mins later, now 8:20 a fellow came to tell us we were on hold..they were waiting on us?? HUH??? So...ok.....we hurried our drinks and went in. The other 2 in our party had just arrived...so no pre dinner drinks for them to be had. Turns out they technically close at 9:30 p.m so I guess they had some no shows and thought if they could get us 'in and out' it might be a reasonably early night!!

We were seated...and pretty pronto the waitress was there to take our order. We selected some wine..and perused the menu. Within 10 minutes we had all ordered. Appetizers came out fast..and were fine. Nothing amazing, just fine. I should add that we were at a round table near the window..and one of the servers that was helping drop the appetizers blatantly reached in front of my face to put my husbands in front of him. My friend beside me, well her jaw dropped and she said "tell me that fellow didn't reach in front of you" which of course we both knew he had!

Then we waited...and waited....and waited....our waitress was now NOWHERE to be seen. So I caught the attention of a waiter that happened to pass by...he made it clear he was not our server and I said "That's fine-I just wonder if you could ask our waitress if she could give us an idea of when our entrees might be here because we have waiting a very long time" she didn't come back and neither did he. My husband asked another passing waiter...if he could please send the Manager over to which he replied that he would. Approx 15 mins later ..now one hour and 15 mins since the appetizers were taken away..our waitress came out in a flurry with the entrees. She TOO reached across me to place my husbands meal in front of him rather than pass around behind him. Not a peep of "pardon my reach or excuse me"! It was obvious that word had spread that we were not happy campers! There was no conversation..not a "do you have everything you need" and no topping up of water glasses. We figured she would be back. Well, not only did she not come at any point and ask if everything was allright, the Manager never showed his face either. Not at any time.

I had the filet as did my friend...both were requested medium done. Mine was raw....friends was well done. We both ate them anyways as who was asking if they were allright and were we to sit there all night waiting??? No one. My DD and her friend had the lobster..which they both claimed to be tough. At $46 a plate? Not acceptable. Another had the ravioli..small portion and mediocre I am told. DH had the Porthouse if I recall and he enjoyed that. Although really---we were all rather past it as it was now almost 10:15.

Some ordered dessert..which was fine...and only DH was offered coffee, which he declined. No one else was offered. The bill was presented pretty fast and our share for 4 - over and above the DP was $200. That included a $70 tip that was of course included being a party of 7.

It was a miserable evening...one we all looked forward to...but was spoiled by terrible service and below mediocre food. There was a table of 2 adults and a toddler beside us...they were waiting as long perhaps longer than us. The little one , why they would take such a small child here so late is beyond me, was crying and fussing and eventually they left, not having even had their entree merely appetizers.

The Executive Chef from the Yachtsman is now at Le Cellier and it looks to me as if the bus boy might just be in the kitchen!:sad2:

DH went the next day to talk to the Manager and my friend has sent a letter (email) to which she has no reply as of yet. The Manager offered all kinds of things but my DH made it clear he wanted nothing, just what a restaurant of this caliber should deliver should we ever think of dining there again!

Maybe for someone else...it might be better because it sure couldn't be any worse!

Minnie I'm so sorry that you had such an awful experience. I have to say as a former restaurant manager, that to not go to a table when requested is just unheard of. You always go....that is your job!

If I had been in your spot, I would have gotten up and gone to look for the manager, asked for another wait person to be assigned to our table, and asked him exactly what the problem was with our food order. I would never eat a meal that was not prepared as I had requested and I most definitely would not pay for the poor food and then also tip out as you did. I don't care what the WDW policy says about mandatory tipping. I'm confused by DH didn't at least tell the manager that you wanted your out of pocket expenses refunded?

I've heard of some misses at YS but never this bad. Again, I am so sorry your night was ruined like that.

I absolutely love Narcoossee's. The location is excellent, the service just as good, and I always get the Surf & Turf. The lobster tail is good, not great, but good. Now the steak is dead on excellent. I also enjoy Yachtsman as well. I have never had a bad steak in the three times I've eaten there. Now Le'Cellier was a very average experience for me and after looking at the new menu (actually tweaked), I don't think I will be walking through those doors anytime soon. So with that Narcoossee's and Yachtsman would be my choice and leave Le'Cellier off the list. Of course this is all just an opinion. :goodvibes

Well, I agree...I think at least he should have had the gratuity adjusted if nothing else but he said the money wasn't his motivation..poor food and service was and he wanted that to remain the focus. It was just a really disappointing.

We did dine at Le Cellier 2 nights later and for lunch this past Tuesday and it was exceptional and likely the best dining experience overall. What can I say...
