Hi,

We are going to WDW September 28-Oct 2 and we currently have a dinner reservations at Narcoosee's. We have 1 child who is 6. I have princess reservations for her, ie. 1900 park fare, storybook lunch in Norway and chef mickey's, alice in wonderland tea party........so we wanted something for "us" that was still kid friendly.

However, I just realized that it will be (2) table services for this dinner.:confused3 I would love your advice/opinions if this is worth it??

Thanks so much!!

Sarah

It's definately worth a 2tbs in my opinion. However in my opinion I would not go with a child. That's just my opinion not saying you can't. Great food, view :thumbsup2

Narcoossee's is definitely worth 2 table service credits. If, that is, their menu is appealing to you.

I hope so, we are going Sept 18!!!! Everything we have read makes it sound worth it.

YES YES YES. It is a much smaller restaurant than many of the others, therefore low key compared to many. The service is EXCELLENT. The food is wonderful. (Especially if you like lobster....mmmm). The atmosphere is so nice. There were kids in there when we were and it seemed to work perfectly well for them. I highly recommend Narcoossee's. It is my favorite restaurant in WDW!

I have not eaten at this restaurant before because the first time I went there WDW Dining must not have recorded my dining ressie correctly so despite me providing them the number to that I was given they told me they would do the best they could to squeeze me in which would most likely be over an 1 hour wait. I was so hungry that I couldn't wait around. We opten just to go for counter service elsewhere.

I have to say that the time I was in the restaurant was not alot but it kinda of reminded me of just a suped-up, fancy, melodramtic Red Lobster by decor means and it was very loud and noisy when I was there. I'm not sure if I cared for it that much so maybe I need to go back and try my hand again to really tell.

The food is WAY WAY better than Red Lobster and I like Red Lobster. Compared to other WDW restaurants it isn't nearly as loud or chaotic. There is a beautiful view of the lake and WDW. None of the restaurants in WDW are extremely low key (except maybe V & A of course) but that is the magic of WDW. You can take your kids wherever you would like and enjoy a family dinner without being looked down upon. Go and enjoy!

Hi KarlaG4Kids,

Since I could not dine the night I thought I had ressies there, I can only tell you what I experienced that night which was the place was, of course, packed to the brim, quite noisy, and the activity seemed chaiotic. I would rather spend my two table services at another venue at Citricos if possible.

Worth two tables service credits?

That depends if you have credits to burn. The first couple of times we did the Dining Plan we didn't arrive until 4:00PM so we had extra CS credits that we used for a dinner one night. That made it easy to justify going to California Grill. Especially back then when the sushi appetizers were covered on the Dining Plan.

Alternatively, if you are on the Deluxe Dining Plan then signature is the only way to go if you don't want to risk exploding by the end of the trip. I can't imagine eating 3 TS meals per day, not to mention 2 snacks.

From a pure financial aspect, I don't think any restaurant is worth two TS credits since you don't get appetizers and the price difference in the entrees just isn't that great. Although the lobster at Narcoose's is about as close as you can get to making financial sense.

YES!

ITA. While I love Narcoosees, Jiko, etc., the math for 2TS credits doesn't add up; we pay OOP with DDE. That said it's one of our faves, would not hesitate to go back. Enjoy.

Thanks so much! Wow the Lobster looks sooo delicious:thumbsup2

My daughter is usually very good in restaurants, so hopefully all will go well.

Thanks,

Sarah

Is it worth 2 credits? That's a matter of personal opinion, but mine is yes! We love this restaurant, just ate there on our August vacation. My daughter loves the almond cheesecake. Her and I had a wonderful time, and we are looking forward to going back next time.

ENJOY!!

Absolutely yes!!! My dh got a whole lobster and loved it. I had the steak--sooooo good. Also they have a "Pear Endive Salad" that was delicous! I have been trying to find the recipe for it for months. It isn't on the web or in any of disneys cook books. Go and have a great time.

Without a doubt ... YES! Best restaurant we went to last November and maybe even EVER! And we're from North of Boston so that's saying ALOT! Go..Enjoy..I'm jealous!

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!

The last of the surf-n-turf venues accepting the dining plan, don’t let that novelty lull you into thinking this place is anything short of spectacular. Offering the best seafood chowder I’ve ever tasted, the seafood-centric menu teems with exciting culinary delights. Give a try to inspired crab cakes, perfectly grilled scallops, or one of the best salmon dishes on property. And for the sweet tooth, there are a lot of places at Disney cranking out crème brûlée but Narcoossee’s Key Lime Crème Brûlée far outshines the rest.

So, yes.

For my group - the answer was no - it was not worth the 2TS credits we used.

The food was good but we would have preferred 2 meals elsewhere to the one we had at Narcossee's.

The restaurant was very noisy and the service was lackluster (and at 18% of those prices I would have expected it to be better).

The Lobster was good but the steak wasn't any better than Le Cellier or even Kona.
