I was hoping to get some feedback on the food/atmosphere of Narcoosees??? We are going to be dining there with our children and my grandma the first night we are arrive to Disney. We are staying at the GF and I just thought it would be nice to try it. We have a 8:45 ADR so we can watch wishes....Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Are we going to like it?? Children are 7, 5 and 3. Thanks for any and all info :goodvibes

I would like some info too...I have a 7:10 dinner for 6 adults and want it to be a NICE occassion!!

It is probably one of my favorite restaurants on property. We have eaten there 6-7 times over the years and have never been disappointed. Food and service are wonderful. And your timing is PERFECT! We also try to time it for wishes and the restaurant pipes in the music so it is truly magical! Enjoy. Make sure you arrive early and go out to the boat dock to see the electrical water pageant. Also very nice.

It's a beautiful restaurant with a wonderful view! I love seafood so the menu is great- they do have beef choices also. We were there during Wishes- they dimmed the lights and piped in the music. It was wonderful!! Also, it's pretty easy to secure an ADR here. They have a place to walk around outside which is nice if you have children and have to wait for a table or need a little break during dinner.:thumbsup2

Just hubby and I went before and the food and service was great. We are going the first night of our vacation with three children too! My children don't know that we will be able to see Wishes (trying to keep that one a secret!). I'm sure we will both be pleased with our choice!!!

It is our favorite! We love it there, and always go when we are at WDW. I usually order the Maine Lobster, which is delicious. We have always had wonderful service. My DS13 likes it there a lot. I like the atmosphere and the view is great if you could get a window seat. You can request one when you get there, not before hand. We also enjoy taking the resort launch to the GF from the MK. It is a nice relaxing ride.

Wow, how did you stay at the Grand Flo so often and NOT go here? It is fabulous! You will absolutely love everything about Narcoossee's --- the food, service, location, etc. Have a great time! :)

I think you'll love it! Beautiful view, good food, and great atmosphere. I had a big family dinner there after my wedding in 06.

We thoroughly enjoyed Narcooses when we went! Great food and amazing view - we were lucky enough to have a table by the window and saw the fireworks!!

Thanks so much for all the wonderful info!!!! I think we are going to LOVE it. Does anyone have any pics of inside the restaurant???

Thanks again.

We went there during our honeymoon at Christmas time last year. It was INCREDIBLE! We loved it. The fireworks played and the music was Christmas Music! :santa: Talk about Magical!:wizard: The circular layout and the windows are incredible and the view during Wishes oh my goodness! I'm excited for you!:goodvibes

Thank You!!! We are very excited, especially about being there for Wishes :)
What did you order off the menu if you dont mind me asking? Anybody for that matter what did you order. I am a big seafood fan but the hubby isn't and the kids are kind of hit or miss it. Thanks for all the wonderful tips :thumbsup2

I dont know how we stayed so often and never tried it out. With the kids being so little on previous trips I guess I thought it just wasnt that "family friendly" But I am SO excited about trying it now :) What did you order there? Thanks again.

We love Narcoosee's!!! Everything we've had there is wonderful and we love the atmosphere. Service is also very good.We always have the crab cakes and I could make a dinner on the bread, so good!!! :goodvibes

We also did Narcoossee's as a first night dinner, what a magical way to start a trip.

My 6yo nephew had the Mickey shaped pasta. It was so cute served in a bowl with grated cheese and sauce served on the side in smaller bowls. Guess what shape they made together, yup a Mickey head, so so cute. My nephew declared his Mickey pasta the best ever! :thumbsup2 He and I shared a banana split from the child menu for dessert.

I had the Surf and Turf, but had them sub scallops for my Turf. I think I got a full order of large tender scallops, they could have servered me have the amount and I would have been in heaven. Lobster was pretty good too. I also had the crabcake appetizer. Even if you are on the basic plan that doesn't include apps. order this one and share, they are that good. I got a Mango smoothie as my beverage...OMG...tasty, refreshing, just wow. No wonder I didn't get my own dessert.

My mother had a nightly special, I believe it was grouper. She also got the chowder, it was wonderful. She ended the night with her beverage, pot of chamoille tea and the Year of Million Dreams Almond Crusted Cheesecake. This was the first time in my life I'd actually seen my mother's eyes roll back in her head, both at the presentation and at the taste of the dessert. My mother bakes cheesecake from scratch (softens the cream cheese, spring load pans, the works) so she knows good cheese cake. I'm not a fan of cheese cake and we both loved this one.

Not only will you get to see Wishes, but the Electric Water parade should roll past before Wishes and your little ones will love it. :thumbsup2

OMGoodness! We had a menu printed with our names on it too! If you have a celebration or special event that night be sure to tell the CM's! I believe that I had a pork chop and DH had either lobster or scallops:rolleyes: I'm sorry there was so much happiness there I can't remember:rotfl2: Our server was named Lisa and she was terriffic. MMMMMMM the food was so yummy and there were definately options for both meat and fish eaters so no worries! I'm smiling so much right now because the joy of the time we were there was so great! :goodvibes

WOW they can just print the menu's up right there? That would be so awesome to get. Thanks again for all the great info :) Now if only April would get here! LOL

:goodvibes This is all wonderful news!!:cool1: My family is having a grand gathering at the Grand Floridian the end of May. This is one of the ADRs we've made. I wanted to have it during Wishes but I was told that if all 13 of us wanted to eat together we had to come at 5:30. :confused3 That's okay though with all of these wonderful reviews we will just enjoy the wonderful food and service then take the boat over to the Magic Kingdom and watch Wishes from Main Street.:cloud9: :cloud9:
