I am putting together my PS plans for our December first anniversary trip at the Grand Flroidian. Since we are not bringing our kids we are looking forward to some "Grown Up" meals. So far we are planning on Victoria and Albert's for our anniversary dinner, California Grill, and 'Ohana (we LOVE this place even though it's not necessary a "Grown Up" place!). We have one more dinner to plan and we are trying to decide between Citrico's and Narcoosee's. Right now I'm leaning toward Citrico's because I have heard that Narcoosee's can be a bit loud and that it is more of a family place. I know that the food if supposed to be excellent at both places. What are your recommendations?

Well I am bringing my 4 kids to Narcoosee's in July so if that is any indication I vote Citricos. Although when we ate at both pre children we like Narcoosee's more. Have fun

Citricos will most likely be more quiet but I think that is mostly because it is a larger room, has fewer patrons and sound is muffled there by carpet, etc.. Narcoossee's has an exposed wooden floor and ceiling.

We have eaten at both many times and have seen families at both every time. Narcoossee's is not a "family" restaurant a la 'Ohana or Whispering Canyon. In fact the only time Narcoossee's was loud enough to annoy me a little was when a lot of very well dressed people all arrive around the same time.....conventioneers I would bet. Children at both restaurants have always been well behaved in our experience. I think if people are willing to pay those prices, most have already taught their children to behave in restaurants. Who wants to drop a bundle and have to worry about a child acting out?

Service at both is usually Disney quality.

The menus are very different.

Narcoossee's has a better view, Citricos will be quieter. I don't think you can go wrong with either. We love both.

Citrico's is BY FAR a more romantic, adult-oriented restaurant. We've only once been bothered by kids at Narcooses, but the wooden floors and ceiling just make this place a bit too loud for a romantic meal.

We've also suffered service from OK to bad, never had great service at Narcooses, which is really a shame. We've had the opposite experience at Citricos, service has ranged from good to excellent, and we've never had anything less than good.

LOL, romantic is certainly in the eye of the beholder. I find Narcoossee's romantic because of the setting. It is an octagonal building set right on the shore of Seven Seas Lagoon. I love looking out and seeing the twinkling lights of the Polynesian, CR and Magic Kingdom and the boats plying the waters.

I also don't find Citricos any more adult oriented in any way. Both have kids menus, both have children dining there, neither has "activities."

We have had comparable service at both but YMMV.

But Citricos is certainly more elegant so maybe that is why Anne finds it more romantic? And as we all agree, it is more quiet.

But perhaps you can try one this trip and the other another time. Have a wonderful time at V&A! :wizard:
