That line right there really is the crux of the whole problem. Some guests (and dare I say cast members) are beginning to feel like the Walt Disney Company doesn't care.
For me, it doesn't have anything to do with the napkins. Every Fourth of July, I think about Austin Wuennenberg. I keep going back to him. I value him. I respect him. And I wish he was still here with his mother, and his family, and his friends.
I have seen videos of Austin Wuennenberg being simply awesome, doing a job that he loved. He made guests feel as though Disney cared. In everything I have seen, he embodied the Disney spirit. And when he died, and I read reports like this one,

I stopped feeling as safe at Disney. I stopped feeling like the Walt Disney Company cared.
But here's the thing. At one time, they really did. At one time, the Walt Disney Company really did care about guest safety and about how guests feel, and not just because of the bottom line.
At one time, Disney got it right. And I am not going to stop voicing my concerns, until they get it right again. Because I care too much about the people who work for Disney and the people who love Disney, to ever stop voicing my concerns.
