Napa Rose reservation with extra people

Hi folks!

I have a reservation in October for 4 at Napa Rose but want to add two more. There hasn't been anything available for 6 at the same time. Will NR accommodate extra 2 people showing up?

Did you try calling? I had to add 1 more to a Blue Bayou reservation and I called and they were able to add the person for me.

Chances are the answer is no. You are currently at a 4 top. If there were 3 of you, adding one wouldn't be a problem. But you need to go from a 4top to a 6top, which is much more difficult. Add in, Napa Rose is usually fully booked. Your best bet is to call them directly now, and see if they can move things around.

Napa surprisingly wasn't terribly booked my last trip. Plenty of room in the lounge and restaurant proper. It never hurts to ask.

Yep, call and ask. But I wouldn't show up with 2 extra.

I would call too. We had to call to book the Chef's Counter as well.

If they can't accommodate you when you call, or if you decide to take your chances and just show up, be aware that sometimes you can find seating for that many in the lounge. And you can order the full menu at the lounge; while it's not as elegant as sitting in the dining room, it's a perfectly enjoyable alternative. Then again, there's no guarantee there will be enough room for you there, either...

Meanwhile see if you can make a concurrent reservation for 4 and another for 2 at the same time...THAN call Napa Rose to see if they can combine or accommodate seating together.

This is what we frequently do. But usually just because most restaurants don't take more than 6, so I do a 6 and a 4 and have them put it together.
