Napa Rose advice?

I wonder if I saw you there on the 14th.

If you want to dress up, go for it but if that's not your thing, you won't feel out of place. I've only ever gone in a t-shirt, shorts/jeans & sneakers because that's all I have/wear.

Prices are definitely higher and the menu smaller, but our food & service have been excellent each time we've gone.

Came here to say this. We go straight from the park and back and we may be a little wet from Grizzly if it is summer. They are used to/expect it so don’t worry.

We were there on the 14th at 7 pm, in the front room between the fireplace & the front window, at a 4-top with just 2 of us.

I'll have to ask my friends which night we went. If it was the 14th, I'm sure we would have seen each other unless you were done by 8!
*edited to say that we were actually there the 13th. I looked through my pictures, which are dated, to find out. Would have been fun to have been at the same time!

In summer, the A/C in Napa Rose is set to "meat locker." I can't imagine walking in there even slightly damp. I always have to bring a sweater in summer.

Meat locker! AHAHAHA! So true, too. We had that setting at Carthay in Dec. Brrrrrr. Excellent suggestion.

I always have to have a light sweater/jacket in my backpack because it's a guarantee I'll be cold somewhere. Might be waiting in a line, might be in a restaurant, always in the GCH lobby--I get cold very, very easily!

It's not just you. The GCH lobby is always FREEZING. Always. My son runs hot, all the time. When he walks into that lobby, he visibly shivers. There is a reason why the GCH staff uniforms are long sleeve shirts.

The truffled mac and cheese (and all other sides) have not been on the menu since the reopening last year. We really miss the mac and cheese...

There is also still no bread service, which is a shame.

I'll be curious to hear the OP post back with their experience and the current menu selections. Napa is probably our favorite restaurant on property (21 Royal is better, but I can't afford that every trip). I don't mind paying a lot for a great meal, but I expect a great meal for the price and limited offerings especially when they are things I always get is a big downer. I hope it's back to normal for my next trip this fall.

I will certainly report back about our experience post-trip! Our reservation is for 2/26.

Alrighty, we are back from our trip! I must say that the food was delicious and we quit enjoyed our experience at Napa Rose for our anniversary dinner. My husband had the Saffron Tagliatelle, "Wine Country Pot Pie", and Grilled Filet of Beef Tenderloin from "Creekstone Farms". I had the Sautéed Diver Scallop, "Wine Country Pot Pie", and Braised Beef Pot Roast. All of these dishes were delicious and we were too full to order dessert. I wouldn't do NR every time I come (holy $280 bill, haha), but every few trips for a special occasion, yes.

The ambiance and more low-key vibe of the place was a nice departure from how busy most of the other restaurants at the resort are, also.
