Nap Question

My little guy will be 8 months old when we got to Disney. He still takes two naps a day, and I don't think that is going to change. My daughter sometimes takes a nap, but not usually. My husband and I were thinking that we'd like to have our son sleep in the stroller for at least his morning nap.

But he won't go to sleep easily if there's a lot of commotion or noise. Once he's asleep, he'll sleep through just about anything. But getting him to sleep when there's a lot going on around him is hard. Does anyone have any ideas for me? Are there any quieter places or will we have to go back to the hotel.

Oh definitely use the Baby care ctrs- I think that is what they're called... someone correct me if I'm wrong. This is the type of thing they are there for. I know there is one at MK by Crystal Palace but not sure where the others are...anyone?

Baby care centers are great and in every park. Animal Kingdoms is the best!!

There are also a lot of little spots around the parks that are very peaceful and quite. Just need to find them.

Just returned last month from WDW with our 13 month old twins. They did fall asleep in the stroller for their morning nap. Our Dd is usually harder to get to sleep, as well. She had no problems at WDW. I did use the Baby Care Centers for diaper changes and they are WONDERFUL! If your baby is usually rocked to sleep, maybe you can take advantage of the rockers at the Baby Care Centers. We always went back to the room after lunch and they took their second nap there! OH, you'll have so much fun!!!

When Juliette was that size, we would usually get her to take her morning nap in the park. Julie's pretty rough on actually going to sleep, so my dad who doesn't ride rides would usually sit with her in a shady spot and give her her bottel around 10am. She would be out until 2pm, then at 4 we'd go back to the resort and she'd nap from 5-6pm while the rest of the group swam, and then we'd get dinner. This only lasted for one or two trips.

She's two, and won't sleep at Disney anymore. On our trip 2 weeks ago, it was a FIGHT. She stayed awake until 6pm when she ZONKED out. Now, we have to trick her into sleep. Either we go to a babycare center where she might scream a bit while I rock her *there is one in every park* or we do something slow like the train around MK. The train is pretty good at getting her to sleep still. One time we got her to sleep during It's a Small World, and she's fallen asleep on the People Mover as well, I believe she was 8 months or smaller on these.

8 months is pretty easy, in my opinion on getting them to nap, since there still used to so much of it. Wait until he's a toddler, and he decides he doesn't want to nap. AAHHH:scared1:

My kids could always fall asleep if there was water around -- fountains at Epcot, for example. Just a thought.

We brought our dd when she was 10M, she too was a big 2 napper a day baby. I brought a stroller fan and beach towel, I layed the towel over the stroller to block out the commotion (with the fan going) and we would stroll her around until she fell asleep. (Our dd would never have fallen asleep in the baby care center and then transfered to her stroller while asleep.) We always made sure to be back in the room for our afternoon break/naptime.

Hall of Presidents usually knocked mine out.

And just thinking about the World Showcase in Epcot makes me sleepyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Sorry head hit the keyboard. :rolleyes1
