Please tell me I am not the only one disturbed to the point of feeling ill when that little boy was being suffocated by the pillow!?!?!? He was gasping for air when she let him up and he wet his pants. The sister who suffocated him was laughing while doing it.

Why did the cameraman watch this happen.

This family needs years of intensive therapy for many reasons.

I was REALLY REALLY upset by that as well! Everytime, they kept showing it I was in tears. I cant believe they didnt even address it

 Poor little boy! :(

It was very disturbing. I really think was that boarderline abuse (sibling abuse.) And for the camera man to watch is just sick!!!

Thankfully, I did not realize what was going on until he popped up from under the pillow. Totally disturbing!

HauteCuisine, His 9 y/o sister was doing it :earseek:

from what I understand Fox is Nanny 911, and Super Nanny is ABC, ABC bought the rights from the British show in England, but Fox does not, so the British show is seeking retribution from Fox, (same with the WifeSwap, trading spouses, Fox quickly out paced ABC to get their shows on air first, and they have added the money/prize/vacation to up their viewship too!)

I for one feel that the person video taping that poor little boy should be fired. I can't stop thinking about that child.

I totally agree. I too didn't realize what was happening til I saw the little boy underneath the pillow. Then I got mad. I was like where in the world where the parents or the nanny? Why didn't the cameraman stop this. Sometimes I think reality TV has gone just a tad to far to get the views attention.

I'm sorry again, I didn't see this. Was there an actual person videotaping or was it a stationary hidden-type camera? I cannot imagine anyone doing nothing, perhaps this was an edit and it wasn't as bad as it was made to look? It sounds horrendous the way it's described here.

I didn't get home in time to watch the show tonight but from hearing about it, I'm kinda glad I missed it. It is making me sad just reading about it.

Glad I missed that part. One main reason the girls probably acts like that is from her mom. She seems devoid of any emotion except anger. But magically their family was cured within a weeks time :rolleyes2

I'm glad I missed it. Wonder if child protective services in their area was watching. ((knock knock knock))

It seemed to be an actual person taping. It was a high grade film, not a hidden camera.

NO WAY it was edited to get the smothering effect. Disney4us2002, thank your lucky stars that you did not see it. It was so sad. The little boy was actually GASPING for air when he was let out from under the pillow :sad2:

It was a very distrubing show. These children, 9, 6, & 4 are much to old to be having these tantrums. :sad2: My 6 yo was watching with me and couldn't understand why these children were so naughty. How on earth do they "do" in school? We're talking 3/4th grade & K/1st plus pre-k.

JMHO, but I don't think Nanny Deb "did" this all on her own. They must have had other professionals helping that they did not show on camera.

I know "editing" also plays a big part of these shows. But these parents must have been horrified watching this last night.

I caught this show for the first time last night. I wonder if the cameraman didn't realize how much the girl was hurting him. The chaos in that house was out of hand, the noise was deafening and all I could hear at the time was the girl and some other kids laughing. Will all the other beating and fighting going on, he may not have realized exactly how bad she was hurting him until she got off of him and he was gasping for air.

that was my guess, too. at least I hope so. I didn't realize what was going on until he popped up, either.

I didn't finish watching the show (saw the first 40 minutes) but I did see THAT part!! Funny thing is, I hear a lot of people talk about their "sibling times" and there seems to be a lot of violence going on in some families.

That family was truly out of control. In a way, I did kind of feel bad for the mom. I mean, she had 6 children ages 9 and under. That is just TOO much. Usually in large families like that, at least some of the kids are older (teens) and can help out. They just had way too many little kids and didn't know how to deal with them. The mom was just at the point of screaming. The nanny was right on, but I doubt they were "cured" that quickly.

What did the nanny tell the husband? I missed that part. He seemed to be MAJORLY shirking his childcare duties. Home office, my butt.
