Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. There are names I don't like as much as others, personal preference but I wouldn't want to offend someone who is named that or has a family member with that name.

I don't HATE any names- there are some I like less than others, but none I hate. Sometimes, a perfectly fine name is ruined by it being attached to an awful person, and sometimes a name I'd normally think was yukky becomes quite nice because someone I like very much has it.

That's what I thought too. I've got a list of names I hate as long as my arm, but people are so sensitive about names that no good can come of this thread.

I don't "hate" any names...but being an elementary school teacher, there are several names that give me a HEADACHE just to hear the name (brings back bad memories!!!)

I also hate trendy "unique" names. I can't stand the trend of slapping last names on as first names and I hate deliberately misspelled names. And if you need to always pronounce it for everyone, it's not a good choice for a first name.

There are tons of names I reeeeaaaallly dislike.
But the only name I HATE is my own, and there has already been a poster who has a dd named this...so I will leave it alone.

I'm not going to get offeneded if my name shows up. I don't really dislike names. I dislike things that are not names being made into names. Apple for instance. (who does that?!)

Me either, there's a name I really hate but it's very popular so I'm not talking. I think Apple is a better name then some of the popular ones today.

I don't hate any names, I do though have certain memories that are attached to names- some are good memories and some are not as happy. Like the little boy in first grade who picked his nose and chased girls around the classroom with his treasures, when it was time to pick out a name for both of my DSs his name did not make it into the running.
