Names now in system, points are not

I know it has not been the 7-10 days we were told it could take, but we closed last Friday and this morning our information had been added to the DVC system, however no points. Anyone else have this happen? I wonder if they are just now in the process of entering our information and that is the reason. I think I'll call back this afternoon. Sorry, I'm being impatient but I can't wait to book our first DVC stay!

This is why we went through Disney. We agreed on Wednesday around 3:00 PM, and by 5 that night we had our membership # and our guide connected us with MS and banked our 2009 points while we made our reservation for this summer. Now we bought into BLT, so the incentives were just as good as the savings on resale. But I hope everything works out for you soon!

Thanks! We bought OKW so it has been well worth the wait to save thousands of dollars over buying directly from Disney. The process with TSS has been super easy and I knew going in it could be a couple of weeks after closing before we could make reservations. I called to check this week, though, since I've read reports of people making reservations only four days after closing. I couldn't resist checking early, but no big deal if it takes the 7-10 days to completely be in the system. Congrats on your BLT purchase. Makes sense to buy BLT direct from Disney for now.

We bought resale and our information showed up a couple of days after closing, but it was several more days before our points were actually in the system. An inconvenience, but well worth the resale savings. Have fun!

I think that different people enter different things into the Disney system - one department enters the contract info, and then a different department actually puts the points in the system. It was a couple of days before our points hit the system with one of our resales.

I think on our resale, which was an add on, the points posted in segments. The 2009 points posted unbanked one day and then the next were banked into 2010 and then the third day our actual 2010 points showed up.

I'm not sure why MS doesn't seem to be able to do everything in one day but it works out in the end. You can call them at any time and they'll check to see if the points are really there. MS will also give you a time frame for when you'll be able to see and use the points.
