Name from the Jungle Cruise gone?

The trader at the end of the JC is gone. I went on it last week. I know they closed for a week or two for refurb. Is this guy gone for good?

I don't recall whether the vignette was there or not-- I do know that our guide didn't do half the usual schtick on our cruise. It made me wonder whether a memo had come from on high.

My DD took the Backstage Magic tour during the Jungle Cruise rehab and she saw the headhunter in Central Shops being refurbished.

The last time I rode it he was showing his age. I hope he's just in for a checkup! I hope he's not gone for good. He's part of the ride.
