I accidentally put my DBF's name first name last, last name first on the flight itinerary. Will I need to change it? It is a SW flight.

IMHO - yes. With security checking boarding passes and drivers licenses, I would make sure you change it. However, I think SW is reasonable about this. I made a mistake last Dec with my DS - I put her maiden name as her last name (if you knew my DBIL - maybe it was wishful thinking). Anyway, I didn't realize the mistake until I had PRINTED the boarding passes!!!!! I was next to tears and in a MAJOR panic. I called them and they were great. They said it would have been easier if I had not printed the passes, but we still got it straightened out.

My advice - call them NOW and get the change made. I bet they'll be nice about it and you won't have to worry.

Let us know how it goes!!!

I agree with the pp that you should try to change it. Our last trip to WDW I had booked a flight for DH and I to fly out the same day...then DH realized he had some exams at school and didn't want to miss them. I switched his flight to two days later. The airline messed it up and switched MY ticket. We spent quite a lot of time at the counter trying to clear up the mess. Lucky for me I had all the paperwork showing it wasn't MY mistake. I know that it is different than your situation, but I would hate for you to have to spend lots of time at the counter while they dither about what to do...

Good Luck! :thumbsup2

Don't tell SW you want to change a name, that implies you want to change the passenger. Ask them to correct the name on the reservation.

I don't think you'll have a problem with your first and last name being reversed but it might be easier if you get it corrected.

I've had my name switched before and my middle initial attached to my first name and as long as I have my ID I haven't had any problems.
