Name and reservation number are wrong now :headache:

We leave Thursday.

A couple weeks ago, we received a personalized photopass card in the mail. It was obviously a Disney envelope and my 4 year old gets to open those since OBVIOUSLY they must be for her. (Mickey just loves to send her mail) I was looking at after she opened it and realized it had someone else's name on it but our address. Weird.

Next was that I received an email message from Disney about our upcoming trip. It says "Welcome Wadham" family, which we are not. I sent a quick email to Guest Relations and told them that we were not the Wadham family. I thought it was odd that they have an upcoming trip and so do we and that we were mixed up for some reason.

Now, I've gotten two more emails to my email address with the wrong name but the most recent has my reservation number with the online check in link. The reservation number is not the same as my paperwork but it is the same as the reservation number online. (I'm guessing Disney changed the reservation number at some point?) After I ask my 4 year old where that photopass card is (it is in her Minnie Dooney) I look and it is in fact personalized with the same name and the emails I've been getting.

Makes me a little nervous with our trip 3 days away with the reservation number different than what I have AND the name wrong. I'll call them when they open.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Wow, that is scarey. Please post back. We check in on Sunday and I got my email today and it has our name on it...thank goodness.
 
During the system upgrade on 10/13, all uncompleted reservations got new numbers. When the system became available on 10/14 that's when people started seeing the new reservation numbers.

As for e-mails and/or snail mail, I've never received any from Disney that had the wrong name.
 
I got in touch with MS and basically the reason was that it is a glitch in the system. Apparently in the old system, it couldn't email any other person but the member making the ressies. Now, in the new system, you can have emails sent to various people. Somehow, the system picked a random name to put in my place.

As for the reservation number being different, I'm told that the old was a reservation number but now it is a Travel Plan Number so that they can include everything under one number.

Not sure how all that makes sense but that was the explanation. Everything is supposed to be fixed now. Fingers crossed.
