I was at Universal yesterday and it was my first trip back in 11 months. Little did I know they got rid of Express Pass ....well let me amend if you want to get to the front of the line you can pay 50 per day per person and this allows you ONE ride at the front of the line. The people who worked there have gotten more and more rude.We usually go to Men in Black get an express pass and then go to lunch. When my husband asked where the express pass ticket printers were JIM the team leader said you can get them over there meaning buy them. We did not know that the express had been discontinued so my husband said no I mean an individual pass. He said you can't get one. My husband said I do not understand and he replied" I TOLD you twice" very rude with no explanation. I went to customer service and reported him. I am sure most people returning this year were confused. NO sign explaining the change nothing...There was no need for him to be rude!

I went to vacation services and there was a woman complaining that the stupid lockers would not open and no employee came to help for over an hour. Two minutes later another guest came in to complain about rude help. Fast forward to the Jaws ride. There was a large group of girls going on the ride about 25. The girls in the back had realized that one of their group was missing so she told them they had to wait. UInfortunately the ones in front did not hear and were about to get on the ride. When they had to regroup the perosn putting them on the ride began yelling and telling them they needed to get their party straight Yes it is a trying job but if you cannot be curteous then you should NOT have the job. I was so disgusted with the whole place that I do not know if I will go back. I want to write a letter to corporate but do not have the address.

September will be the one year anniversary of the removal of the free Express Passes, do your homework.

I don't know why anyone would go to Vacation Services to complain, that's what Guest Services is for. the thought of anyone waiting an hour for help with a locker is ridiculous.

if a group of 25 people can't keep their heads together and force everyone else in the queue to wait for them, tough crap. the TM was absolutely right to tell them to get their party straight. this is peak time, and they were wasting other people's time and money.

You mean one express access on each ride, not just one ride, for $50. That definitely would be extreme. Does it not explain the express pass system on the park maps that are handed out?

I just noticed you were complaining in another thread about the $10.00 cost of parking, but are an AP holder.

AP's don't pay standard parking fees, your credibility is slipping.

I am not complaining I am WARNING. OH and if you have a Power Ap it does NOT include parking. How about you doing your homework.

AND to the other poster it is 50 per day to get one express pass for each ride in both parks! YES that is excessive. IF you have a family of 4 it is 200.00. YES that is excessive.

There is a right way and a wrong way to handle people and yelling is NOT the right way. It might be a job to you but it is a vacation to eveyone of those who go to a theme park.

Actually, I don't find paying $50 for express pass excessive at all. If I really wanted to be done the park in two hours at peak time, then it would be worth it. If I arrived at the park before opening and before the crowds and expected to enjoy the entire day at the park, there would be no need to spend the extra $50.

we've got the regular AP's so I don't have to look at blackout dates.

As to parking...well I did not pay but those who were with us did have to pay since they do NOT have AP's

You are the weakest link, goodbye.

If I was say a Dis member with over 3000 posts, I believe I would have checked out this board BEFORE going to US.

And you forgot to remind her that of course neither Disney nor Seaworld charge for parking. Bad, bad Universal.

its an amusement park, if they want to change the rules, they change the rules......if the supermarket ups the prices from one day to the next, do you also go to customer services and complain? yikes. if you cannt afford vacation, stay in your double wide for a couple more years and save up.

Another case of a member here on the board with a very high post count not doing their research. Oh boy.

For that price, with your AP, you could have had a room with TWO days of unlimited Express Pass usage.....

This poster has made another thread warning people not to go to Universal because of her experience. I don't understand why people expect other people to not go to a park because they encountered a rude employee. Why would you let something like that ruin your fun of the park and not go again? It reminds me of a student failing a course to punish a teacher they didn't like. Who actually suffers? Not the teacher! Parks are all about the rides and your family time, not the comment of one employee.
