Another thing.... corn bags. Since the rooms will have a microwave I will be bring three corn bags to soothe any aching muscles after a day at the parks. My kids especially will appreciate this.
White noise machine. I can't wear earplugs very well (or ear buds) the inside part of my ears is really little and earplugs and buds pop out - if I can even get them in!
These are the things I tend to forget if I don't pack early:
- Sweatshirts and/or jackets (even in summer since the nights can get chilli)
- Cough drops (the LA air gets to me)
- Sunscreen
- Refillable water bottle
- Hand lotion
Well, seeing as you're from Canada, then I would say, no it doesn't get cold in California. Now, if you're a southern california weather wimp like me, then yes, Brrrrr..... it can get chilly at night.

Lol. Yeah, no I don't think I'll go up there during the winter. I've been several times during the summer (including one trip to Edmonton!) and it was great but I'm thinking I'll skip a winter trip. We went to NYC once during Feb and it was SO cold I couldn't believe it and I'm sure it wasn't nearly as cold as it gets up there for you guys.
We all have hooded zip up sweatshirts that we bring. They worked great last year, as it did get a bit chilly at night (and we are from Washington). I also grabbed some hand warmers - the little packet ones that are chemically activated - to take with us for the evening.
For us, its prescription meds and well as every other kind as it never fails someone gets sick. Sleeping pill and ear plugs, fan, ziplocks, pillow, camera, extra contacts, mini first aid kit to have with me at all times, (you know how boys are).
