Naked Statue?

I took these photos in AK on the Maharajah Jungle Trek in the aviary. One photo without the coverage is from 2008, the other is from last month 2011. Amongst a couple other changes to this scene, the statue has been covered with greenery. Anybody have a story on this poor beautiful statue and why she got covered?

Maybe someone thought it was inappropriate? Sort of like in Spaceship earth the statue being carved just before the Michelangelo scene used to have a bare top but after the refurb it is now covered up.

The Vatican covered up much nudity (painted and added fig leafs to statues) back in the day and when restoring the works of art they reverted to the original- at least with the frescos.
