Nacroossee's and kids????

but I do think parents who are taking small children need to look through the eyes of their kids rather than parent eyes.

Very good point

I hear too often- parents saying "I want to enjoy my kid at a fancy restaurant"

I like the way you said it better :dogdance:

I know I might get some slack for this but here goes....I am being risky today..OK, I have 1 child he is 4, he is a very well behaved child at dinners, if he werent' we wouldn't go. Ok got that out of the way. I do understand there is a time and place for children, Ok with that being said, aren't we talking about DISNEY?????? :confused3 It is all about being a kid isnt it??? My husband & I do appreciate alone time too, however, I want to share my "FAMILY" vacation with my son, and that includes eating with him too,:confused3 Not all kids are misbehaving monsters that need to be caged. But those people with the "little animals" should choose another dinner option.

Very well worded. And I agree. My children have been traveling since they were born. They know how they are exected to behave at dinner out and at home. I would not even consirder taking them if I thought they couldn't handle it and it would make other diners expirence miserable. I was just asking if others have seen children there. And it is DISNEY and it is about the kids and being a kid. Not to mention unfortunately for us it won't be too long before the "magic" and the realness of disney is gone.

DH and I always go to Narcosee's at least once every trip. Our ADR's are typically for around 7:30 or 8pm. I must admit the in the past three trips to WDW over the last year and a half......we have seen very few children at Narcosee's. Matter of fact, I can only remember only 2 familes with children, and the one little princess curled up on the chair and slept thru the entire meal. ( so cute)
I agree with several of the OP that many couples, like DH and I, frequent restaurants like Narcosee's because of the relaxing adult atmosphere and great food. ( I must admit we did not go to these types of restautants when my son was small, even tho he behaved very well from an early age on.) I would only ask that anyone taking a toddler to this type of restaurant....
1) Know your child and be realistic about their attention span and dining manners.
2) Understand this is an expensive restaurant, DH and I usually pay over $200 for the two of us, so if by chance your child has a meltdown....please be sympathetic to your fellow diners.
3) An early ADR, like 5:30 or 6pm (from what I have read on the Disboards) seems to be better for a family with very small children.

It's a fantastic restaurant, but only you know how your young one will tolerate a 2 hr. adult meal.

I just wanted to add also we will not be in the parks but for 1 day on this visit to the world. We were trying to make this a more relaxing trip so we are sticking to the pool and such. One day we will make it over to the park for fantasy land but that is about it on this trip. I would never take my child to any restruant even McDonalds if they were going to be cranky and make others eating out miserable. Ok enough defending my kids. Boy did I open a can of worms. Thank you to all who replied. I like you Markstudy you look at things. :cool2: I have taken all into consideration.
