Could not think of a good title, anyways, 2 years ago we went to wdw and had a horrible experience, but we ran into a very nice German fellow whom extended our myw tickets by 3 days and made them so they will not expire, however he did not extend the meal plan we were currently on. Here is the caveat. We are planning our next trip and would like to use these tickets and go on the dining plan and stay 10 days total. Which should mean all we have to do is buy a 7 day ticket and a 10 day dining, but I do not see an option that will allow us to buy dining separate.

Does anyone know how we can do this? Thank you.

You can indeed do this. Your dining plan is based on the number of nights you are staying at your resort, not on your park ticket. So you would book a package for the number of nights you want, add in the park ticket for the number of days you need, and add the dining plan. The dining plan will be for the duration of your stay (again based on the number of nights you stay at the resort) and your tickets are separate.

I hope that helps.

I didn't think they started MYW until 2005? How could someone have them in 2004? :confused3

Yes but...

You would be better off buying a 10 day expiring ticket for next time, saving the 3 days of leftovers for still later. A 10 day costs only about six dollars more than a 7 day and you almost certainly paid more, much more, than 6 dollars to make the other ticket non-expiring.

Cost effective uses of 3 days on a leftover ticket are quite limited. Limited to vacations where just that ticket or just that ticket and one other partially used ticket cover everything, or when used for an eleventh or twelfth day in the theme parks.

If dining is offered in the future, most likely the required park tickets need not be for the same number of days as the room and the dining as has been the case so far.
