does anyone else think myw are not as good as the park hoppers.
well i mean as cost efficient.
i am still convinced the hoppers saved me more money.
i am looking at the 6 day/hopper/no expi./plus water parks.
:confused3

I disagree, I think the MYW passes are more flexible. We'll be purchasing 10 day non-expriing hopper passes next month and they will be much cheaper than we would have paid for two 5 day hoppers in the past.

I looked up the park hopper prices from last summer....6 day park hopper plus would have cost $318 (or so)...it included 3 plus options, no Disney Quest as an option. The 6 day MYW pass...no expir./hopping is $332 (advance price). This includes 4 options vs. the 3 on the PHP and it includes DQ as one of the options. So, yes..it does cost a little more but you are getting more for your money...especially if you want to do DQ.

I do like the different options they offer. Sometimes I am not going to need those plus options but I am going to need a 5 day pass. That wasn't an option with the park hoppers. Sometimes I need to have the non-expir. feature, others I won't. I can build them as I need to for each trip.

how much is a 10 day.
thru aaa i was able to get 6 day hopper and 3 plus for 275.
myw 6 day starter/hopper/plus /no exp---332.28
when i look at 3 a and 1 child this is a $ difference..agree?

I think in a nutshell- if you are staying/playing longer the MYW save more. If you are planning a 4 day trip and you want plusses/hopping/ and no expiry then the old hoppers were better.

Which was probably Disney's whole marketing strategy when they came up with the MYW passes - to get people to stay/play longer. ;)

I agree that this makes longer stays more affordable and I think that's a good thing. I plan on doing exactly what poohj80 said: buy 10-day non-expiry hoppers and use 5 days one trip and 5 days the next trip. That will save us nearly $600 compared to the old tickets. I'm really kind of surprised that Disney came out with a ticket plan that will actually save people a significant amount of money. I never thought I'd see ticket prices drop like this.

Usually, using hoppers are a bad bargain if you have to buy MYW passes to finish off your vacation.
