MYW Premium Pkg Question about Dining

Hi, Fellow DISers!

We just booked the MY Premium Pkg for Dec because with all of the recreation, La Nouba, dining options, etc, that our family loves, it was a better option for us.

My question is this: I saw a thread today that had an excellent explanation of how MYW + Dining works by thinking of it in terms of credits, versus days.

On the Premium Package, rather than two "credits" per person each day, we have three (but with no up-charge for signature restaurants).

Does it HAVE to be breakfast, lunch, dinner or can it be a variation?

The reason that I'm asking is that on the day that we do MVMCP, we'd like to do an early lunch at Epcot, then eat at LTT right before the party starts. I KNOW that my two teens will be starving by about 10:30 PM and will want counter service. That day we'll just be having a piece of fruit or something for breakfast, since we'd be having an early lunch, and wouldn't be using credits for that meal.

Thanks is advance!
Sheila

I didn't realize there was a different dining plan offered??? Is it not this:

--One table-service meal (including appetizer, entree, dessert, non-alcoholic beverage, and gratuity/service charge)
--One counter service meal (including entree/combo meal, dessert, and non-alcoholic beverage)
--One snack, such as snack-cart ice cream, popcorn, or a non-alcoholic beverage

No, that's the MYW + Dining.

The MYW Premium Package includes three meals a day (sit-down or counter service), recreation (such as pontoon boat rentals, parasailing and golf), dinner shows (Hoop-de-Doo, etc), La Nouba, and park tours.

On vacation, no matter where we are, we always do two sit-down meals a day to unwind and we're not really snackers, so I know that the MYW + Dining wouldn't work for our family. But we'll be using so many of the Premium Package recreation options that it's a better fit for us.

Whats the url to the thread. I want to read it.

Ok... just read about it on allearsnet.com.... looks like you guys get three meals a day anyway you want them. :)

Magic Your Way Premium Package

There is also a Magic Your Way Premium Package that offers everything in the basic package, as well as an expanded Disney Dining Plan -- breakfast, lunch and dinner per person per package night, at your choice of over 100 restaurants, including Disney dinner shows, character dining, and signature table-service restaurants. Also included is a variety of other exclusive features, such as tours, admission to Cirque du Soleil, and more.

With the Premium Package you get:

--Accommodations at a Disney Resort
--Magic Your Way Premium Admissions Ticket (Park Hopper and Magic Plus Pack Option)
--Official Walt Disney Travel Company Luggage Tag (one per person)
--Disney Dining Plan -- breakfast, lunch and dinner per person per package night, at your choice of over 100 restaurants, including Disney dinner shows, character dining, and signature table-service restaurants

Everyone in the room must be on the same package and ticket options. All tickets must be used within 14 days of first use, unless the No Expiration Option is purchased.

BeckWhy: Here's that link about MYW + Dining - MYW Meal Credits Check out the post by MinnieMommy.

Erika: I know that the cost depends on accommodations, length of stay, etc, so it would be different for everyone. It is quite a bit more expensive than the MYW + Dining because it includes a lot more...

The MYW + Dining only includes park tickets (which can be upgraded to hoppers and pluses) and two dining credits per day/per person.

You can apply discount codes to the Premium Package though.

I think it's pooled together so you get 3 meals x nights - if you want to eat 2 dinners in one night, you can type thing. You can do them however you want.

We are going on the Premium too and that is the way I understand it.

So, I would think what you are wanting to do is perfectly fine.

I just wanted to add since I'm going in July - I will be able to tell you for sure when I get back but everything I have read it's flexible like that.

Similar to the Dining plan that if someone wanted to eat 3 sit-downs in 1 day, they could, they would just be short sit-downs later on.

I think the Premium is on the same principal - if you wanted to eat 4 meals in 1 day, you could but then you would have to only eat 2 on another day. I hope this makes sense! It's the way I understand it anyway.

It sounds like the Premium Package is the same as the old Gold Plan, which we've done. So following that reasoning... You get 3 points per person per night. You can use them however you'd like. If you wanted to eat 8 meals a day, no problem, you'll just run out of points sooner. And there's no differentiation between breakfast, lunch, and dinner either, so again use however you want. We'd always stay a room-only night before and after the package to get the full benefit - and to spread our meals out.

HTH and have fun:)
