hi -

this might be a silly question - but when you book the MYW packages plus dining, do you have to purchase the park tickets as well?

we are going once in september with free dining, and then again in december which we purchased the dining plan - we didnt know if we purchased a 10 day no expire pass in september, could we use it in december? or do we need to purchase our pass then in order to be part of the dining plan?????

thanks!! wendy

a package is a resort stay + tickets by definition.

you don't HAVE to use the tickets, but you have to buy tickets. the same for everyone in the room of any length/type. you could buy 1 day base tickets if you wanted. they're good indefinitely too, for future visits if you wanted.

ohhh, i see so who is good with numbers????

here is our plan - september - we already have 1day base ticket (would prob do 2 days in the parks so we would add another day of park hopper)

in december - 5 or 6 day park hoppers (we did put the downpayment on the plan, so to keep it we would have to get at least a 1 day, correct?)

and then we are thinking we will return again in the fall of next year, but arent sure....but if we have days left over, thats a bonus...so we are toying with the idea of 10 day park hopper no expire.....but would have to purchase 1 day for each of the times we will be there, right??? what is the best value??? DH just lost his job, and we are ok on my salary, but want to be budget minded....thanks so much, its nice to have such nice people help each other on these boards!!

wendy:)

With that many days, if you'll make another trip next fall (within a year) it may be wise to consider an annual pass. You could then just apply the cost of your 1-day base ticket to the cost of an annual pass. When you return next year - you could also take advantage of the AP holder room discounts.
The 10-day base tix with park hopper and no expiration will cost you around $465 with the new rates. An annual pass will cost you around $480.

i'd love to do that, unfortunately our trip next year will be towards the end of september, this year its in the beginnig of sept.....

OK - I would just think hard about paying the extra $180/person for the no expiration option - that's a big cost up front if you're not getting an AP
