Any ideas on whether or not you'd be able to do split-stays with the MYW package? We've never done a split-stay before, so I don't know if you were able to do it with current packages or not...

Tickets expire in 14 days, so if your stay is less than 14 days or you choose the never expire option you can.

I think by split stays ptrbryant meant part of the vacation at one resort and part at another.

I don't think you've ever been able to split packages. But of course if you bought a ticket only you could. But then you couldn't do that very enticing dining addon.

Right, that dining option is SO worthwhile that I'd probably forego the split-stay idea in order to have it...but only if room rates are offered at a discounted rate as part of the package as well or else it wipes out any dining savings.

...do a split-stay. What happens is this:

Suppose you are going to WDW for 8 days, for example, July 1 to July 8. You will make on pkg ressie for, let's say, AKL for July 1 to July 4. Then, a NEW pkg ressie is made for July 4 to July 8 at, for example, CBR. It's still consecutive days, but they are treated like 2 separate bookings. Hope this helps...

But then you would be paying the much higher ticket rates under MYW for shorter stays.

In addition you would be paying for admission for July 4 twice!

With the first ressie, purchase a 1 day ticket. With the second ressie, purchase a 7-day ticket.....

I'm sure there'll be an option for splitting stays... Since the ticket you're purchasing is no longer tied to your length of stay. And as long as you're a resort guest and ticket holder you can purchase the add on.
I'm betting that you'll be able to make reservations for different hotels, and purchase however long of a ticket you want AND add the meals.

I was wondering the same thing. I guess we'll have to wait until next month to find out for sure. My guess is that this new package arrangement will discourage split stays where the hotel/dining is included.
