We are doing the MYW package with dining.
I have three rooms booked on the package. We have two seperate reservation confirmations.

I was wondering if planning reasons. How are the meals distrubated, are they put on one card?

Are the tickets seperate than the dining package?

I was just wondering how they distribute the tickets at check-in. Is everything including dining credits/tickets all on one ticket?

Thanks for your help

Usually each person in your party is issued a "room key" and this would be their personal ID for EMH. As well as have their ticket info on it. With each key you can choose to have charging priveleges added or no priveleges.

Then your entire MYW dining package comes in credits. You will receive all of your credits from the day you check in. That way you can, if you want, have 3 sit down meals one day. This allows you to plan your meals the way you want. You pay w/ your room key, which has your meal credits attached. Now, the meal credits aren't divided out like the entry tickets. They are lumped together. So, if you have 4 people in your group and they were entitled to 1 sit down per day on the plan (for example) and you were staying for 3 days--- you'd have 12 sit down credits available immediately to use on your arrival day. It works the same w/ the counter service and snack portion of the package too.

Thanks for the info. Do you know what will happen if I book a one day base park ticket and then upgrade once we get to disney? Will they issue new park tickets or will this be a problem, since I am doing a package. Also, I am doing the free dining package. Since I want the kids to get adult meals, I registered them as 10 years old. Does that mean when I upgrade their one day base park tickets to 5 day park hoppers, will they make me purchase adult tickets or can I upgrade it to the kids 5 day park hoppers.

THanks for info. I want to make sure I dot my i's and cross my t's, so their are no money surprises.

Thanks

yes since you said they were 10 they will have to pay park prices as if 10. Why did you do this??? Honestly you should have plenty of food w/o having to do so. ALL counter service meals are counted the same so you can get all adult meals there. There are a lot of sit down resturants that count over 9 as adult, so that wouldn't be an issue and besides with the appetizer and dessert, there is lots to eat. And lots of sit downs have adult type entrees on the kid's menu.

Like pp said, all the credits are pooled. You will get a credit card looking card when you check in. It will say what resort you are at, the dates of stay, that you are on the dining plan and the number of Adults/children. They swipe it at park entrance and at meal places. All of it is programed into the magnetic strip number.

I have a quick question related to this topic. I am going to WDW in Sept and staying for 6 nights and 7 days. So that means I will acutally get 6 sit down, 6 counter service and 6 snacks per person. Correct? The reason I am asking is most posts regarding the MYW Dining state 7 days and 7 meals when in actuality it is really only 6 meals because of the whole "per night" as opposed to "per day." I am correct right? I am confusing myself. Please someone help me!!! THANKS

yes it is per night. But since most people travel on the ends of each visit (arriving after noon, leaving before evening), it really is ok that it's done this way.
