MYW Package Reservation??

Hi! I'm a n00b... Well actually I did visit last year when my DD & I made a 1 day trip to DW... But I received an email yesterday for 20% room reservations & decided to call and plan a new DW vacation for this year...

I called the (407) phone # that was listed in the email to make my reservations and the guy I walked to seemed nice but I was dumb & I didn't get his name...

He convinced me to do an 8/7 night stay in December at the All Star Movies. The price he quoted me with the discount was $2254.xx for hotel, basic dining, and 8-day Park Hopper passes. He mentioned in the call that he was giving me a "special upgrade" and that I was getting 40% off... BUT I think this price for a stay at an Economy resort is a little high?

The reservations are for me, my brother (adult), & my 10 yo daughter... So a value room rate for that season is usually $82/night (total $574 for 7 nights) & 8 day tickets w/PH $283.29 (total $849.87 for all 3), and the dining plan $37.99/night/person (total $911.76)... So TOTAL $574+849.87+911.76= $2335.63

I'm not seeing the savings he said I would get?? Also, he said he would send me an email confirmation with my reservation info and he read me back my correct email address but I never got the confirmation.

I'm just wondering if this seemed right, if it's normal & also, if this package price seem right?

Are you including trip insurance in that price? Sometimes disney likes to slip tjat little nugget on a pkg without asking.It comes to about $66.95 per adult member of the party.I

when I price shopped online for rates under the MYW packages...i noticed that i I removed the dining & went with Base tickets..it brought the package down TONS...& i mean by 500+!!

we had 8 people i booked for & i think the total was about $4400

try to play online with the quotes by tweaking the package details...like the tickets...do you want hoppers(or need them)...changeing them to base will lower your cost...also...do you REALLY want/need dining...that will also lower the price

Id go to the wdw site & pop in what you have booked without the code & see what quote you get...then like i said ...try to adjust it & see what happens....it doesnt lock you in...so its worth the time.
