MYW package Questions

I already have booked my room with a "CODE" if i want to add the dining plan and tickets will they just up grade my current resv. I have called once and knowing my room cost, tickets and dining fees I knew about what the package would cost the CM came back with a figure about 1,000 more than I firgured. should i call back and hope for cm with better infor, or will they all start over with new resv?

Many have posted that they were able to apply E-mail, and postcard codes to a package with dining.

The CMs seem to be giving out such diff. info, and answers. I can't count the times I was given infor that I knew was wrong from reading these boards.

I would keep trying.

I just did this yesterday.

I used a code to book our room. When I booked, I was within the 45 day mark. Since I didn't have the money on had at the time to cover the package, I just booked room only. I called yesterday to add dining and passes and pay the balance on the room.

The first CM told me I could not keep the room discount and add dining. I knew this was wrong. I've spoken to several CMs that told me it could be done. One even gave me the code they have to enter in order to allow you to keep the discount when you upgrade to the dining package.

The CM said I had the right code but the system would not allow me to keep the discounted room rate. Since I wasn't getting anywhere with her, I hung up and called back.

The next CM was able to book it with the discount. It took about 30 minutes to complete the process, but I was very happy in the end. She had to cancel the first reservation then rebook with the plan. I must have asked her 10 times if I'd still be able to keep the room discount once she rebooked and she said yes.

It took awhile, but in the end everything worked out fine.

As far as the $1000.00 difference, the CM may have plugged in the premium dining plan instead of the other one?

thanks for the info I think I will call back and see what I can come up with.

Do you all feel the MYW dining is worth it. we are 3 Adults (1 child age 11) and 2 kids (9 and 6). 11 yr old very picky and 9 year old eats more like an adult. 6 yr old will eat whatever. We usually do at least 2 character Dining and Ohana's and whatever else sounds good. We will be there 9 nights but first night we do not arrive until 9:45pm (airport).
