MYW Dining plan and Discounted Room?

I'm booking a room only through DU. Can I add the MYW package with dining later? Or do I have to book the MYW package at the time I initially make the room reservation?

Also, if discounts come out later for the room, can I still get the MYW Dining plan? Or do I have to pay rack rate for the room in order to get the dining plan?

You can only get dining with a MYW package, not a room only. You can get a discount if they come out with discount codes for packages.

There have been a lot of threads about the discounted rooms with MYW plus dining. I think the idea is that you have to pay rack rate for the room in order to get the dining package so many don't feel the codes that come out will be able to be applied to the packages unless they come out with a package discount (like last years 7 for 5 deal). I am hoping they will come out with some sort of discount because we have the MYW plus dining. I called and talked to a CM regarding codes and applying them to our ressie and was told the codes would have to be specific package codes that the other codes wouldn't apply - doesn't mean I won't try anyway but I don't have my hopes up. I'm still praying for an email code because I have seen posts from people who were able to use the email codes to get a discount on the room for the MYW packages.

Right now, the only way to get the MyWay dining option is to book a package. The only package discount available is thru AAA. (You will also receive the AAA perks)

It ranges from 10% - 20% depending on the season and resort type, plus is subject to availability. Yes, it applies to CAA members, too! Click here for more info.

We saved $268 with our AAA discount off the room rate portion of our package, plus we get the dining plan.

If you want both the AAA discount and the dining plan, you have to book through a AAA travel agency.

We have a package booked with an email code for the room. WL woods view for 6 nights, 2 rooms, 4 adults 2 children, 1 day base tickets, and 6 nights dining for 3154. We used the same email code for a continuing room-only ressie, $137 per night. We're doing the dining package our first 6 nights, then using leftover vouchers the last 3.

There is another thread out today that tells me that I will be able to use the code towards my package if they come out, COME ON CODES I really want to upgrade to WL, we're paying rack rate for POP (99 plus tax) currently and for 40 more for WL per night that is a no brainer.

Well, that's great! I had trouble with my local AAA, so I went through a AAA in southern California. Glad you were able to get the AAA discounted package + dining through DU! I didn't know you could do that.
