I know that the plan must be purchased for all members 3 and over in the room, but can we add a 2 yr old as well? She can eat a kids meal easily and we wont do many buffets where sh'ed be free. It would still be a great deal. Anyone know if they'll let me add her to the dining since we already have 4 on the plan in our room 2 adults 2 kids- she's the infant in a crib in our room- so we are 5 total, staying at POFQ.

My daughter will be 2 when we go and I believe she eats for free. They said when she's three I'll have to pay the child rate. We're on the dining plan and I think they'll be letting her on it.

I had the same question because my DS will be still be 2 when we go. I am assuming that I will have to pay for him to eat at counter service and other restaurants. I am hoping he can be added to the dining plan for $10 a day but I am afraid they will charge him as a 3 year old then when would have to pay for his tix also. I would rather just pay for his food separate. I hope someone knows for sure.

Yesterday when I spoke with CRO the CM told me my 2 yr old will not be charged. We are planning to get the meal plan for DH, me and our 4 1/2 yr old but the little one doesn't get charged. He is on a kick and is just drinking ketchup so he'll be fine!

Between my DH, myself and the other one we can all share and he'll be fine for counter service meals. I can't imagine paying $20 for the two kids per day to eat. Ouch.

I'm just bumping to see if anyone has more info on this. It sounds like you were told your 2 year old is included on the plan and gets to eat for free wherever your family does. Does that mean the 2 year old gets all the meals older kids do? Or just that they eat for free at buffets?

My son will be turning 3 while at WDW. Per an e-mailed response from WDW, we were told we don't have to purchase park tickets because he will not be 3 at check-in. They didn't answer my question about adding DS to the food plan. But when I booked the package, the agent said not to add him to the food plan because there are no park tickets for him. So I guess he'll be sharing my food. The only meals I wonder about are the character meals. I guess when he turns 3 I'll just pay for those out of pocket.

When we were on the meal plan in december 2004, my kids were 2 1/2. We did not have to pay for them at any of the buffets. But we did have to pay when we went to a sit down resturant and ordered them a kids meal. We also had the option to feed them from our plates and not order them a seperate meal.
