Aircraft type?

Does anyone have any knowledge of the Airtours Tuesday flight from Manchester to Sanford? I have heard that the Airbus 330 is great, with good legroom and seatback TVs etc but that their other plane used for this route, the DC10, is of an altogether different standard. Does anyone know which one I should expect?

Been on MyTravel flights twice now - but from Glasgow and Prestwick. The last one from Glasgow was an Airbus 330. It was ok - don't like loos downstairs though, stairs are quite steep, and can be awkward taking babies and toddlers down.
The seatback TV's make are good though.
Been on a DC-10 on our very first trip - but that was Monarch. I thought it was a bit old.

Hi Betty,

We did the flight at the begining of May and ended up on the good 'ol DC10. The flight no. was MYT53 I think on a Friday departure.

You are right saying there is a difference. The DC10 is very old, poor entertainment equipment and very poor legroom. however the cabin crew were ok and the flight was bearable despite us expecting the delights of seat back screens etc etc.

I think there is only one of the DC10's left in regular service so you will have a less than 50:50 chance of getting it.

As a quick tip also..... If you get the DC10 on the way out you will probably get it on the way back too (As we did) because I think it holds 35 or so more passengers than the Airbus.
