Hi all, just got back from vacation and thought I'd post about our meal at Mythos. REALLY great meal despite freezing from the air conditioning. Take a jacket! We were a slightly damp from the rain. If you like tomato soup you have to try it there! Amazing! I would go back just for the soup. DD9 got the pizza, which she loved and devoured. DH and DD15 got the fish tacos which they thoroughly enjoyed. DD12 ordered a turkey panini (can't remember the exact name) with Parmesan fries which were delicious, and I ordered the risotto of the day, which was cheddar cheese risotto with black bean sauce, salsa and pork. Forgot to use my AAA card darn it, but still worth it.

Trip was fun, but we were there on Sunday when it POURED. Still, we only had to wait 15 min for the Forbidden Journey since many people left the park. We were happy to take hot showers at the RPR afterwards though. Islands wasn't bad for breakfast, albeit expensive.

We LOVE Mythos. Glad you enjoyed it too.

happy to hear you all enjoyed Mythos' food.

i really like the food at that place.

We enjoyed our meal there a couple of weeks ago. We got seated at one of those huge booths (there were only 4 of us), so it was nice to spread out. The food was good but I remember that service wasn't that great. Our server was really nice and attentive, so I think it was a slow kitchen issue.

We ate there last month and all of us loved it. I had the mahi-mahi dish and it was wonderful. It was also less expensive than I had anticipated. It was, in our opinion, better than Tchoup Chop which we thought was very bland and expensive.

Mythos is my new favorite theme park restaurant. We have eaten there several times and have always had great food.

Went this weekend with two friends. I got the pizza (with a side of fries), one friend got the Pad Thai and the other got the Bistro Filet. All of the food was incredible. The steak was a $17 dish that would EASILY go for $30 to $50 at any Disney restaurant. One of Mythos' biggest strengths (outside of great food and incredible atmosphere) is it's actually a reasonably priced restaurant.

I was there Sunday also! :thumbsup2

I had the short ribs which was delish, albeit a little less portion-wise than I expected. Although to be honest, it was plenty because I wanted to save room for the chocolate-banana cake (forgot the name) which I loved! Also tasted the pasta of the day (yum) and specialty pizza (appetizer) that was good.

Great to hear all the rave reviews since I have Mythos booked for our upcoming vacation in August. I can't wait!

Is it necessary to make a reservation? Or just better? I'd really like to eat here on my vacay but not sure if the BF will want to plan a meal that far in advanced (I'm the planner, he goes with the flow).

I always thought you had to make a reservation to eat in there, however my wife and I ate there this past week, people were walking in without reservations and were only having to wait 20-25 minutes during lunchtime.

However if you want to make reservations at the last minute, and if you have a smart phone, download the "OpenTable" app(it's free), it's very easy to use and you can make reservations with it at a couple restaurants inside Universal and Citywalk.

If you were staying onsite would your room key get you prefered seating?

Does Mythos have a kids menu? There isn't one listed on the Universal Orlando site. Although the adult menu looks wonderful, my two DDs may have some trouble finding something to eat.....there are burgers of course, but I figure the portions might be larger than my kids need.

Love their Pad Thai. I have food allergies and they are very accommodating. I can get my pad thai gluten free and vegan.

Yum! We ate there about 5 years ago, and can't wait to eat there again on our July trip. I made a reservation on Open Table for 11am on our IOA day, figuring that we will be ready for a rest and to eat by then since we will be at early entry for HP that morning.
