We are going to Mythos during our stay at Disney& HRH in a couple of weeks( 23 Days 21 Hrs 7 Mins 50 Secs to be exact). My budget is real tight.

--I don't want to skimp on this particular meal, so how much should I budget for 2 Adults(we don't drink), & 2 children 8 & 10 years old?? .

--Also can you or should you make reservations?

--When we are at US/IOA, the parks close at 8pm, will Mythos be open for lunch and dinner or just lunch?

--If they are open for both is there a price difference between the two?

We were just two adults who don't drink. We had fabulous dinner and one dessert ( I couldn't resist the warm gooey chocolate banana cake) . We paid About $43 including tip. We felt it was a real bargain.
At lunch we had a pizza and a fantastic pork sandwich--paid about $25 including tip.
The menu is the same for lunch and dinner--no price difference.
We just made reservations for dinner while we passed Mythos that morning. For lunch we just walked in and showed our room keys. We were seated in about five minutes.
Sorry can't help you out with the hours.

You can make ressies at Mythos. IMHO, I've never had to wait for a table at Mythos. There may be a wait during busy times, but it never hurts to make one. Their phone # is 407-224-4534.

Mythos generally closes 3-4 hours before park closing. If you're in the door before Mythos closes, you can stay until you've eaten.

Appetizers cost from $5-$8, entrees from $10-$22, and desert from $5-$7. You can probably spend $35-$40 on an entire meal, depending on what you order.

Alcohol, MsDisney's aqua vitae, will add to your bill. :)

call for ressies and ask about the times the day you plan to eat there:smooth:

Well, as far as budgeting for a meal with us, if you wanted to go all out and order an app (like the mushroom sautee), 2 of our most expensive entree (ribeye steak), two children's meals (applejack chicken fingers) and a dessert to share (banana gooey cake) and four glasses of water, your bill would be approiximately 70 dollars. So plan on spending that much and see if some less expensive entrees tickle your fancy to save some cash.

As far as the hours, it depends on what day of the week you will be dining with us. Rule of thumb: If it is a weekday, we clsoe at 3 pm. If it is sat or sun, 6 pm. It is definitely best t call and find out for sure, though, as our hours are always changing.

We look forward to you enjoying a meal with us. Be sure to stop by the kitchen and say hi (that is, if I'm still working there...)

Randy,
What do you mean if you're still working there!!! Are you thinking of leaving Mythos?¿

Hey, Secondcook, did the PIzza Hut Express make you an offer you could not refuse????;) :smooth: :p

gschmerl and mib- I've been investigating the possibility for a while now (if anyone can remember my unwise posting back at Christmas). MAny things have factored into it: I've grown to the point there where it's no longer challenging or fun in my current position..and there are some issues that are keeping from advancing at the moment.

The two biggies are: I'm getting married in T-minus 4 months, and hardly get to see my fiance. Not good for a new family, you know?

I'm one year away from getting my business bachelor's and starting work on a M.B.A. To be quite frank I'm not going to business school to flip burgers, fry tempura sushi or make ceasar salads. I need to start finding an entry level position that will expose me to what I'm (quite sucessfully) learning in my classes.

But, don't fear. I'm not leaving till I have another job, and there's no tellign how long that'll be. And even when I am gone, I still will have the hookup w/ info (heck, two of my groomsmen are coworkers!)

Have a good night.

Second Cook: Can I ask you a very stupid question? Assuming you said yes:D , why do they not cut up the greens on the ceasar salad? I'm an big fan of ceasar salads and rarely order anything else, I have never gotten one with whole leafs before. Is there any particular reason they're left whole?

BTW/ best wishes and good luck on your upcoming wedding and venture on the career changes as well.

PartyoSix,
I have been to several restaurants in the last couple years who serve a whole bunch/stalk of Romaine for a Ceaser salad. The first time I saw it, I thought there was a mistake, but I've seen it a few more times.

Second Cook(Randy),
Whatever you decide, I wish you much happiness.

you guys know how off the wall these chef's are just to be different. They concentrate on presentation instead of eat-ability. ;)
