Anyone know where I can find the menu for Mythos? And if there isn't one available, will an adventurous 8 year old boy have options beyond typical kid fare or will it be mac&cheese, cardboard nuggets and hot dogs?

Thanks!

I don't have a copy of the menu, but I just ate there with my two boys, ages 8 & 10 and we LOVED it. The kids menu has barbequed chicked breast with mashed potatoes and corn on the cob, which my boys had and enjoyed. They also split a lobster/corn bisque which was great and liked my tempura shrimp sushi appetizer. I noticed that they have a pizza of the day, hamburgers and wraps on the menu. The restaurant was kid friendly and they brought a big basket of warm bread to our table. We choose to eat outside and had a beautiful view of the HULK rollarcoaster across the water. This was my favorite restaurant, only downer was the service was a bit slow.
PS: The total cost of our lunch was $36 with tip. This was $4 cheaper than having fried seafood near JAWS at an outdoor stand. Much more relaxing.

Oh dear... I see serious weight gain on the horizon. :D

What a wonderful menu! And so glad to see the kids have some interesting choices as well. I made my PS this morning and if May's menu is anything like the one posted we're in for a real treat.

Thank you, RhondaS :)

Join the crowd, my weight watching friends... that's the purpose of cutting down BEFORE going to Orlando.. so we can PIG OUT when we get there! :D

Hey, cleo, my 8yo could live FOREVER off of mac&cheese, cardboard nuggets and hot dogs  ....

Mine could live on the mac&cheese, but he's an odd duck when it comes to food. The other day he said "Mom, Ryan and Keith don't like broccoli. They don't know what they're missing!" I about choked! Poor child... ;)

And yes, I'm doing the diet thing now too, because I fear what my thighs will become after this next trip.

Thanks for the chuckle to begin my day and mark off another day before my US adventure!

I am looking forward to all the good eating at Mythos too. I am a Weight Watcher (-40# so far). I plan to reach my goal (another 20#) before I go to IOA in Sept. Trip is my incentive. I also walk everyday visualizing the rides/sights/eateries at the parks. I also walk wearing my sandals that I wear at the parks.

What type of sandals are you wearing to the park? I am torn between Nike sports or Teva...My last visit I wore Frye sports and they felt great...They are really worn now and I need new pair for the trip.

Reading the boards everyone said buy Tevas. They were not available in the U.P. of Michigan so I ended up with Merrell. LOVE THEM! I paid full price of $50 but you can order them from Sierra Trading Post out of Colorado (I think) for $29.99

Travelbug24:

I just luvvvv shopping, especially for trips that are all about FUN! Thanks for the tip!!:D

Hey!! How'd your feet get in to my food post?

Bark River MI? Sounds about as big as where my folks live (Bear Lake MI). Now then... are the Merrells like the Tevas? I'd like to find a lovely sandal that's comfortable too. Are they lovely, or are they more... shall we say...functional?

And thank you, Robin and Rhonda, for the laughs! Perhaps we could meet up some day and have a laugh over a nice, rich cheesecake. :D

We did sorta step into your thread and tread another path...(i'm sorry...as corny as it sound, i couldn't help myself.) By the way, i'd like to know that info about the sandals too :)

My Merrells are functional. They are made for hiking so they are waterproof therefore great for water rides. They are air cushioned and have adjustable velcro straps. Mine are gray, black and blue so go with everything.

Think nothing of it! I love it when the unexpected happens. :D

Goodness knows I've done my share of stepping in and changing the slant of threads, though I think I'm over that now. ;) :D

Well now that you mention it... OK!! :D

I didn't see Spiderman last time down but did get full enjoyment out of the picture someone posted on the DIS. If I recall correctly, he was sort of in crouch (that's crouch, with an 'r' ) mode, and the camera-person was behind him. Ahhh... what a fond memory. Perhaps DH and DS will go off and ride something while I chat up Spidey a bit... ;)
