We will be staying at Royal Pacific. Can I get to these 2 places by walking? Also, we will not be going to Universal (although staying at their on site hotel.......pet friendly) just doing MK. Do I need a park pass to even either place?

Thanks
Kim

Margaritaville is in City Walk, so you won't need any kind of pass. It's a short walk from the Royal Pacific. In fact the walking path from the Royal Pacific brings you out right at Margaritaville. You could also take the water taxi from the hotel to City Walk.
Mythos is inside Islands of Adventure. They used to offer a "dining pass" if you had a reservation at the restaurant. You had to leave the park within a certain time frame or be charged for a one day ticket.

Mythos is inside IOA and requires park admission. Margaritaville is inside Citywalk which doesn't have an admission cost, although some of the bars at Citywalk have a cover charge at night. For Margaritaville, the cover charge occurs after 10PM according to UniversalOrlando.com website. To get to Citywalk from RPR, you have a choice between a short walk along the river path or a boat. The river path arrives at Citywalk next to Margaritaville. Citywalk could be considered the central transportation hub for Universal because all park visitors have to pass through Citywalk to get either Universal Studios or IOA.

Thank you for letting me know. The water taxi sounds like it would be fun and I know the kids would enjoy it. :goodvibes

Thank you! What else is at Citywalk? Any other great spots to eat?
Thanks

Hi Kim,

Here's Universal's website showing the various restaurants at Citywalk:

http://themeparks.universalstudios.com/orlando/citywalk/dining_restaurants.html

Besided Margaritaville, we've dined at Emeril's, Hard Rock Cafe, and Pastamore Ristorante. We liked Emeril's but it's expensive, requires reservations (usually several months in advance), and has a dress code. We also enjoyed Hard Rock Cafe. We didn't care for the food at Pastamore but I've seen a few good reviews on this board so it was probably a case of personnal taste. We haven't dined at the other restaurants listed at the website above, but I have seen good reviews of them here too.

And don't overlook the restaurants at RPR. There are three main restaurants at RPR: Emeril's Tchoup Chop, Jake's American Bar, and Island Dining Room. Just like Emeril's Restaurant in Citywalk, the Tchoup Chop requires advanced reservations, has a dress code, and is costly, yet offers guests a totally different atmosphere and food choices. At Island Dining Room, we only had breakfast which was served buffet style. We found it expensive, yet convenient. We didn't get a chance to eat at Jake's but I heard the serve very good hamburgers. I'm not sure what else they have on menu.

Also at RPR, the Wantilan Luau occurs Saturday nights. It costs $50 per person but all drinks are included with your meal which is served buffet style. DW and I attended it and had alot of fun.

Eating at Mythos does not necessarily require paying for park admission. Go to Guest Services and they will issue a special pass to dine at Mythos (at least they used to do this). You have one or two hours and if you don't leave the park by then you will be charged for a day's admission. If your dining experiences takes longer for some reason, the restaurant staff will contact Guest Services and let them know.
Also, if you're planning on eating at Tchoup Chop, make your reservations well in advance. You can make them online at www.opentable.com

at margritville just get a starter to share as the portions are pretty big also pastamore and nba are great
