Mystic Dunes Resort and Golf Club

I am an old poster who is new again. Has anyone stayed at Mystic Dunes Resort and Golf Club? What was your experience? Any suggestions on which building to stay in? Which are the newest? Thanks!

We are owners there and have stayed a few times. It is a nice resort. I can't recall the newest buildings, but we stayed in one of the newest on our last visit and I couldn't really tell any difference between it and the medium aged ones we were in before. I've heard that the very first ones down near the clubhouse are showing their age, but I've never stayed in one of them. The convenience of the location might make up for that.

If you have any specific question, I'll try to answer. My memory isn't so good, but we'll be back there again for New Years this year.

We stayed there last november and thought it was great. Liked it so much that we are staying again on our trip this year! The rooms were good sized and we could see fireworks from 2 parks at the same time from our balcony. I had read in a DIS post which building to request as the newer building (can't get the search feature to work right now to find the post) but when we checked in they said that building was filled with owners. But the room we got was just fine. And we were so close to Disney property. We had stayed at Cypress Pointe twice in the past, and both agreed that we liked Mystic Dunes better.

We stayed there in a 3 bedroom in Jan 08 and my hubby just mentioned today that he'd like to stay there again. It was easy access to a bunch of places. The rooms were large, nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Hubby liked this better than Old Key West.
