I'd like to know also .... booked for January.

I stayed there in July! It was cute, quiet. The main pool i think i was closest too stayed busy quite a bit. Responsive with maintenance/service requests. The room service was great.

It truly is only 2-3 miles from disney property bringing you in from the DHS/Epcot side of the world.

I am getting married at Disney in January and my folks are getting a 2bdrm unit there again then to set up shop before we get our disney rooms. So i would say we would def stay there again.

Did you use the shuttle service at all? I'm hoping not to have to rent a car. It's a solo trip for me so I'll be pretty kick back. I'll be there Jan 14th-21st so maybe I'll see you ..... I'll look for the happy wedding party!!! :goodvibes

We were there in June-The 2-bedroom suite was nice, and spacious.Everything was nice.Only thing-request a re-furbished room;that's what we did,and it payed off.As far as the shuttle-DON'T DO IT!!! I have read many reports/reviews that speak of extreme unreliability!!:scared1: Check reviews on Trip Advisor, but don't let them dissuade you from going there.Be prepared to cook your own food,or eat out;We did'nt chek out their restaurant, but"heard"that it isn't"all that".Best advice-make sure you get a refurbished unit, and you should be set!:goodvibes Also,It's a pretty large property,so try to get a unit with other people nearby-it my be a bit creepy if you're in one of those huge towers alone!:scared1::eek: I would also like to suggest looking into Hawthorne Suites Lake Buena Vista-also stayed there in June-check Trip Advisor for my review. It's not expensive, has 2 queen beds,kitchen,free-breakfast etc...very nice area, extremely close to WDW and a hop.skip, and jump from US-can't go wrong with this place-we've stayed there 3 times, and will stay again next time.

Thanks for the info!

My confirmation from condodirect says Mystic Dunes will receive my booking information two days prior to check-in so I guess I will need to make my request for a refurbished unit at check-in. I only paid $202.01 for 6 nights in December (with no timeshare tour) using a 50% off coupon code.

With the low rate and negative reviews on trip advisor, I really feel like we are taking a risk! Oh well, if its really bad, we'll just spend more time at the parks.:rotfl: I am hopeful for a wonderful experience. :santa:

Good Morning,
I work for 3 months as a snowbird at the Mystic Dunes golf course and know the resort quite well. It has recently been sold and is in the hands of Diamond Properties. Folks I know at the golf course tell me they are really pushing to make the resort a first class destination. It was very very nice before, so I would say that you have a great deal at that price. These are upscale time share rooms with lots of tile in the baths, whirlpool tubs, big screen TV.

As far as the shuttle, there is very little good said about any of the shuttle services from the hotels. They are contracted out to an independent service and it can be very inconsistant. Maybe you can befriend some folks at the resort and buy them a tank of gas and hitch a ride.

Good Luck...I will be the guy in the knickers at the Mystic Dunes golf course in January!!

Ted

Thanks Ted! I am very encouraged by your comments! I believe I got a great deal as well.

We are driving from North Carolina and only going to Disney for MVMCP. We are planning on spending the rest of our time at Universal and perhaps, Seaworld. The shuttle service is not an issue for us at all. :santa:

Sounds like I may need to rent a car ..... it's a solo trip so I really hate to spend the extra money just for me.

I didnt use the shuttle so I cant say one way or the other, nor did i visit the restaurant but room service was good.

I must have been in a remodeled room because it was all new tile and appliances and flat screen tvs. It was the 2bdrm condo and it was very nice!

PS you arrive on my wedding day so drive past wedding pavilion and you may see me!
