Hi Everyone! - the last time I was at WDW was 2003. They had pins called Mystery Pins that were released - usually LE 1,000- at different resorts or store locations. Are Mystery Pins still around or have they now been replaced by "Spotlight Pins"?

Thanks in Advance... pixiedust:

I got some in jan and may this year. Very cute!! One was pooh and the other was tink!!

There are some LE1000 surprise pins released. Sometimes the surprise is gone, as odpt.com lists when and where prior to the release.
I bought a LE1000 pin just the other day that was not a surprise pin, but of the suprise pin LE number. (Contemporary 35th anniversary dangle pin)
Also sometimes a LE1000 multiple pin series will be released, and all at one location.
I did not realize the Game pins were a spotlight collection (Or even know what a spotlight collection was until now.) I bought the Jessica pin. (Pinpics #48837) I thought the "spotlight" was one of those containers you shake dice in before you roll them! :rotfl:

I just picked up some really cute mystery pins in August at Epcot. They were an Egyptian theme one each featuring Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy with Pluto. The characters were in Ancient Egyptian clothing facing heiroglyphics and they featured a cartouche spelling out the character's name. I picked up Mickey and Minnie but am kicking myself now for not getting the other two! :rotfl:

Hey Everyone,
:cool1:
Thanks for all the responses! Now i know I can keep looking when i am there!

There will be a new series of Mystery Pins in December that will have us
VMK (Virtual Magic Kingdom) players clamoring to get them. Not just
us pin collectors, mind you...

The pins come with cards with codes to enter into the game to get
virtual prizes. I want the pins in their own right, but I am getting Pavlovian
about the virtual prizes that come with the pins. :)

I know I'll be contacting WDW Mail Order in a couple of months. :teeth:
