Mystery Charge at Lumiere's?

Just got back from the 1/3 Western and was looking more closely at my acct summary... I noticed that my husband and I both have $12 charges from Lumiere's. Neither charge have a check number or server number and it looks like all the dates have been truncated (the data field was too small) so we don't have a date for the charges. We didn't drink any alcohol in the restaurants, so that can't be it. We did eat lunch in Lumiere's twice and they did ask for our room number. Three out of the four of us did have sodas and the day that they had seafood buffets in the other restaurants they did give us canned sodas that we had to sign for (ie pay for).

Did any one else have a charge from Lumieres like this? I called the Disney Cruise Line people and they said that the information from the ship won't be downloaded for another two weeks and that I should call back then. So I thought that someone here may already have my answer!

Thanks for the help!
Kathy

We were on the same cruise and also have the $12 charge. Don't know what it is either, except it's the first charge on the bill under both my name and my wife's. Interestingly enough, later on in the bill under my wife's name there is a $12 credit for Lumiere's, but under my name there is no credit! There is no $12 charge under any of my 3 kid's names, just us two adults.

The mystery deepens...

Yes! That's probably it. My wife and I each had a ticket, then my wife had to cancel, hence the $12 refund from Lumiere's listed under her name!

Yes, the Stem to Stern Wine tasting is listed as a charge for Lumiere's (don't ask me why, I thought it would be a Sessions charge).

I discovered 2 great wines at the wine tasting, if only I could find my notes....:D

I think it's safe to say that the charges work in mysterious ways. On our cruise, for example, soda program charges showed up as being from the Outlook Bar. We were confused since not only did we not visit the Outlook Bar, but I believe it wasn't even open during our cruise! I wonder if sometimes where it shows up is tied to where the CM who initiates the charge is officially assigned?

I had the same experience with Promonade Louge. I went running down to GS with a $40.00 charge on my daughters account. I said "my dd has never been in PL...what is this charge..." The girl was laughing and said, "Could she have purchased the soda mug package?" So, embarrassed, I said
of course...Guess it happens all the time..........

Hey Kathy~
Just popping in to say Hey... we were sitting with you on the first day lunch at Parrot Cay... it was great to meet you guys, sorry we couldn't find you the rest of the trip.. I did see Sarah (?)walking through Topsiders one day...

Thanks all!!! Guess it was the Wine Tasting. I was racking my brain to figure out why Lumiere's would be charging us!! I knew that this board would have the answers!

Hi Jeanny,
It was good seeing you. Even though it was a small ship, it never seemed to be crowded (except during character signings!!). We spent a lot of time on our "private verandah", deck 4! and I totally spaced the meet.
:(
