Myrtle Beach, S.C., questions????

I'm thinking of possibly driving down to WDW with my parents and 2 kids. I thought we could stop at Myrtle Beach either on our way down or back. I'd like to know:

1. How far is Myrtle Beach from I-95? I'd be coming from PA.
2. What are some nice places to stay in Myrtle Beach? I have the Myrtle Beach travel guide and so many of these places look really nice.

This would be mid June. Thanks for any help!!!

I live in South Carolina. I would suggest the Ocean Reef resort. It's on a great wide stretch of beach - very family oriented area. Not too commercialized, but still near restaurants, etc. They have ocean front rooms with queen beds, microsaves, refrigerators and they also have 1, 2, 3 bedroom condos and lazy rivers, pools, etc.
We have stayed her many times and it is our favorite.

I live in Myrtle Beach and it takes about 1 1/2 hours to get from I95 to the Beach area. We are originally from NJ and Before we moved here last year, the total trip time was 11 1/2 hours.We've stayed at the Embassy Suites at Kingston Plantation on past trip to MB. It's a great hotel right on the beach with all sorts of rooms as well as condos. Great kids swim park and a nice pool area. Enjoy your trip.

I have also stayed at Kingston Plantation and thought it was really nice. As the previous poster mentioned, Myrtle Beach is a bit off the track from I95, but as long as you plan your trip with the right amount of time allowed, you should have a great time. I love Myrtle Beach!

So funny when I read the question...I thought no quick trip there...While I love Myrtle Beach unless that was my destination. (to vacation there)
I wouldn't make that drive over from I-95 if I didn't have too.
