Myrtle beach or va beach?

We'll be coming down to Disney camping for first time at FW. On our way home, would like to stay in this area in our camper for a night or two. Any campgrounds on the beach in Myrtle, Charleston (particular fav), NC or Virginia Beach?
We have been to Virginia Beach once yrs back, there was a campground we stayed at that was NOT on the beach. I'm looking for water beach front campground.

Ocean Lakes just to the South of Myrtle Beach fits your bill quite nicely.

Sorry, I can't help with your choices but...I am going to VA in May for a wedding. I do not expect the beach to be the main focal point of the trip. I will take a walk on the boardwalk. I am going go-cart racing, which looks really cool and is very close to the beach. Also, Bush Gardens in nearby in Williamsburg. That said, being a beach lover myself, if I was planning a beach vacation I would not choose VA beach (just from looking at the photos, it doesn't seem that nice). My recommendation to you, living in Boston....hop on NCL, last minute and go the beaches in Bermuda. The last minute deals are the best for a cruise and your cruise port is right there! Have fun, no matter what you choose!

I love Myrtle Beach, but would recommend staying away from the Grand Strand. North or South of it is good. I like that they allow dogs on the beach!

This may be a funny thing to say, even tho VA beach is nice, the sand is a different color, somewhat light brownish-tan color, not lighter putty color like in Long Island, NJ, MD, and FL, etc. Went to Myrtle once yrs back and seemed like the beach was much smaller than the others we usually go to close by me in the Northeast. Our main beach is the Jersey shore and MD beaches, and when they redid Seaside Heights beach after the hurricane, they didn't use the same color sand, they used the color sand from VA Beach and that freaked me out, hehe, as I had gone to the Jersey shore my entire lifetime and was used to that pretty lighter color sand. But otherwise, Virginia Beach is a nice beach, the sand color is just a little different.
