Myrtle Beach--one day things to do

My DH is going to Myrtle Beach for 5 days the week after Labor Day. It is a company convention. Most of the wives go....but most of the wives work with their husbands in the different company offices instead of having outside jobs! I am going to stay here, work, and hold down the fort with the kids' activities.
He will have one day to do stuff where most of the guys golf. I know there is a Hard Rock and a Margaritaville for him to visit and buy me souvenirs , but are there any cool museums or anything? He's not the lay-on-the-beach type. Last year the convention was in Cocoa Beach and he went to the Kennedy Space Center on the day most of the guys went to golf.

There are movie theaters and Ripley's Aquarium at Broadway on the Beach.

Nascar Speedzone across from Broadway on the Beach if he likes go carts.

Near Barefoot Landings (North Myrtle) there is an alligator farm (other animals too). The name escapes me but it was neat.

Tons of mini golf places and shopping complexes. A huge Bass Pro Shop.

There are also some more Ripley's attractions and an amusement park in Myrtle Beach.

I also think there may be an old plantation nearby that is open to visitors.

He'll definately find something - tons to do in MB.

I would look at the website funbeaches.com. It is a little like this website. It has forums where they list all that stuff. Hope it helps.

It's called Alligator Adventures and it's pretty cool.
New Hard Rock admusement park is open now.

There are some good ideas for him! He loves aquariums, and he would probably like the gocarts. I don't think he'd go to an amusement park alone though. One other guy he is rooming with (the other wife with an outside job, I guess) golfs, so he is just on his own for that day. Did you know they wanted to charge the golfers $75 each way on the airline for clubs? So most of the golfers are driving because they don't want to pay for their clubs. DH gets to fly on their dime.
