mypoints webcertificates?

I know these questions have been asked a hundred times, but humor me... lol

Ok if I cash out for a webcert, I get an email right? then I can request a plastic card ? Do I have to wait for the email then they know what account to use the card for? Do they deduct the cost of the card from the $$'s I have on the webcert or do I pay for that from other sources? then also, do I just order one at a time so that the next one can be added directly onto my card?

Next question... does it expire or go dormant? I was reading on the webcert site about fees etc and there was a dormancy fee. I'm not sure how long until it went dormant, but we arent going on vacation until next summer & I dont want to use it til then, but with the uncertainty of Mypoints I thought I should go ahead and start cashing out.

Yes, you must wait for the e-mail from MyPoints/Webcertificate. You may then opt for the plastic card which they do deduct the cost of from your account.

The account will go dormant after 90 days(I think) and then they will charge you $3 per month. I forgot about this once for about 4 months and it cost me $12! I was not a happy camper! If you have a bunch of points to cash out, I would spread them out over time.

I did not realize that they charged a dormancy fee either. That kinda blows. I mean, they have your money and are earning interest on it and then they have the nerve to charge you if you don't spend it? I may rethink my decision to use them and just get a HD card instead.

Thanks for the info.. I just got enough to cash out for a webcertificate from mypoints and waiting since November for it.

Another question (forgive me, I'm new)! Are they 'stackable', meaning if I get one from mypoints, then order another one from mypoints or blink (I'm almost up to getting another one from blink)
If I get a $10.00 from mypoints, then another $10.00 from blink can I add them to same account? I have different email addresses. I have one for mypoints, then another email for blink (so I can better keep track).

How long does it take to get the email from My Points/Webcertificate? I've been waiting several days now since my cashed out points disappeared from the "pending" category. Still no email.

Yes! They are definitely stackable. You do not have to have the same email addy for each program in order to combine them. When you go to deposit in your webbie, it will ask you for your account name and password. Just use the same one each time.

You can also have all family members who are doing rewards programs add their webbies to that same account.

This makes them one of my favorite redemptions because the maoney can really add up if you combine all your rewards programs for webbies.

Not sure how long it takes. In the past, just a week to 10 days. I have cashed out 2 recently from MyPoints; 12/09 and 12/15 and haven't received either of them yet. The points have been deducted though. I'll let you know!
