MyPoints Question

I have a quick ? for all of you MyPoints users. Can I make a purchase at Barnes and Noble online using a gift card and still earn the points? I try to buy gift cards for my online purchases when possible to avoid using my credit card, but I want to make sure that I will receive the points when paying by gift card. At 10 points per $, I would really like to do this as I have a whole list of books the kids want in their Easter baskets and it could really add up.

Trying to make enough for 2/$25 gift cards for Rain Forest Cafe (or T-Rex?) for our next trip....

I used my Christmas gift card and got my points. I love My Points.....easy to do and I am always getting books at Barnes and Noble.....good shopping

I've never not gotten my points by using a gift card. I don't think they really care as long as you click through mypoints first. There are some sites that you can even buy giftcards from them and still collect points.

Yes you can. Just remember to go through the My Points web site. Sadly, I am famous for forgetting to go through My Points until it is too late. But, I've still earned enough to get Rain Forest Cafe gc to take to WDW, and my kids all get B&N gift cards from there each year for Chanukah.

Thank you for all of your replies. Does anyone know if the same is true for Sunshine Rewards? Can I pay with gift cards? Also I thought I saw somewhere that you can't use any coupon codes for SR either. Is this true? They seem to have more Disney rewards there that would be good for our upcoming trip, but I still want to pay the lowest prices using the coupon codes. I could 30% off with the next Kohls sale, but I would still like points on the amount I actually pay. Any info would be apperciated?!!!!!

Well, usually you cannot use a code found elsewhere, or an email. Once you click thru SR though, you can click on anything on the site that gives you a discount. You can always try to use the code you have, you'd get the discount, but may not get the rewards, so you're no worse off than when you started.

I usually find though that if there is a code floating around, SR will have it already linked on the site, or something simlar/better.

The only site I have not received credit when using a gc was hot topic. Everything else worked just fine.

I use Barnes & Noble gift cards all the time when shopping through Sunshine Rewards. Always get points too

Sign up is free.

Make sure you fill out all the "About Me" type questionaires, you get points for them too.

If you are interested in testing products, you can also sign up at www.bzzagent.com. When you test products and "buzz" about them to people, you report it on the buzz site, but get rewarded in your linked mypoints account.
