MyPoints firs time cash out question/problem?

Now that I finally have all my points, I'm trying to cash out for some gas cards. Yesterday, I went to Spend points, selected the Exxon cards, filled in all the info and selected 2 cards, recalculated the price and clicked on Spend Points. A Spend Pints Cinfirmation page came up, and I clicked on Spend points again. It started processing, and it kept on and on and on .... after 5 minutes, I clicked on Stop in my browser to get it to stop. I tried 2 more times in the day (once for Exxon and once for Shell), but the same thing happened.

I've not received any confirmation emails nor have any points been deducted from my account. Have I actually bought the cards yet??? How long does it usually take your you to get your confirmation email and for the points to be deducted?

I want to find out because I don't want to try and order again and send my account into the negative. Actually, if all 3 requests I tried yesterday go through, I will be in the negative! However, I don't want to wait too long because I want to make sure they arrive by 10/2.

They won't let you order twice, don't worry.
The site is slow when you're spending, so be patient when you're trying to spend the points - or do it when you think it will be a slow time and it will go faster. They were pretty bogged down/not working great last night, so that could be why...but they are also generally very slow.

Yay, it's working today! It went in right away, no waiting at all.

Sure hope they get here by 10/2!

I have done mypoints for several years, in fact I had my point balance up past 175,000 at one point, but that was when they used to really give good points for things and even had good sites to visit and earn points. Things have changed as far as earning power goes, but they are pretty good about getting rewards out. One Christmas I had $200 of different gift cards sent to me in just a matter of days.

My cards came in the mail yesterday - woo hoo! Only took 11 days!

Now, hopefully the price of gas will go down before 10/3 so they will be more valuable ...
