MyPoints/Drugstore.com Bonus Mail

I got a MyPoints bonus mail that offered 800 points for 1 minimum $15 purchase at Drugstore.com.

They had the Brita Fill & Go water bottles for $7.95 apiece. I ordered 2, which put me over $15! Now I won't have to buy bottled water in the parks! I'll just fill the Britas with ice and tap water and filter out all the nasty tastes! Love getting those bonus points, too!

Mad4themouse...I was thinking of getting these exact same things...have you used the Brita bottles before?? Are they durable?

They're a pretty heavy plastic, pretty much like you would find in a sports bottle that you would buy at Dick's or Sports Authority. There's an indentation all around the bottle about 3 inches down from the top which can be used to wrap a bottle strap around.

The filters will last for 15 gallons of water filtration before they need to be replaced. One bottle holds 24 oz. easily. They are supposed to excellent for filtering the heavu chlorine out of Florida water, although I have not tried this yet.

Hmmm, this sounds like something I need for Disney! I am the only one who drinks water there and I hate to pay the $2.50 for a bottle of water and drinking the regular water is out of the question for me! Thanks for the information, I think I might just head over to Drugstore.com and pick me up a couple of them!!

I did the exact same thing. I have been putting off getting those bottles, now I'm glad I did!

I have a Brita bottle I take with me to the gym ... they're very durable, especially since I'm not very gentle with my gym bag. Just remember to close the bottle or replace the lid ... I forgot to do that once...

We've used ours the last 2 times we were at Disney and they to a good job of making the water taste better.

We are big water drinkers at home and have our water filtered for our ice/water for our frig and no one in my family noticed or said boo about the water not tasting the same. My DD8 is very picky and she would have been complaining about the water tasting funny along with the fact that she was too hot!

Next time we'll be buying the straps because we are not taking the stroller next time. We kept all the bottles in the bottom basket and before we left from home I put our initials on the bottom of each with black marker so we could tell who's was who's.

I also took the time before we left to squeeze one or two bottles thru each one to clear out the extra charcoal...didn't want to have to waist any mouse time to do it down there!
