Why would Mypoints disable my account?
I called the 800 number and they were zero help. Told me to write customer care at Mypoints. Last week I wrote and asked why I did not receive points for an Office Depot purchcase, I still haven't received an answer. Sunday I cashed in points for a Web Certificate. I had almost 6000 points. Would they disable me for to many points that I might cash?
I am at a lost.

I have no clue why they would do that? I do hope you can get it taken care of, however...6000 points is alot to lose!! Please let us know...

I do know for sure that they would not disable your account by cashing in too many points. Our receiving points is how they make their money. I have cashed in at the 6000 point level and had no problem.

Good luck to you!

I had the same thing happen to me - My Points disabled my account as well as DH and DD. I sent them emails asking why, and they wrote back telling us to fax them copies of our drivers licenses to reinstate, which they did. Send them an email - membercare@mypoints.com - and you should be able to clear this up. Good luck!

Happened to me as well, just about a month or so ago. Get the ball rolling with the email to "membercare", and it will work out.

Once they got the faxed copy of my DL, it was just the next day or two when it got reinstated.

(But I never got an explanation as to why it happened in the first place.)

Everyone of my family member accounts disabled when they cashed in. They got an email a few days later asking for DL to be faxed in. Once that was done, they were reinstated. It's just another measure for fraud protection.

My Points is somewhat famous for disabling accounts. It seems to be most prevalent in households where more than one member has an account.

Well I did have to fax my ID to them. They have reactivated my account, but my husband is waiting for his to be reactivated. They really didn't give a reason. Just "some confusion" and it seems to have been triggered by my cashing out. Anyway, all my points were there so I spend them again today. Hope it doesn't cause problems again.
I have been a member since 1999 and cashed out many, many times.
Thanks for all your help.
Tammy
