Can someone explain to me how MyPoints works?

Apparently I've been missing the whole MyPoints part of being a BzzAgent. I like being a BzzAgent so I can try out great products then spread the word to friends & family (and the occasional stranger). I have no idea what the MyPoints are for or what to do with them?

you redeem your rewards for mypoints points. Go to mypoints.com and you can turn those points into gift cards. Generally 3500 points for a $25 gift card.

So far since the transfer over to that I've been able to get about $100 worth of gift cards. Once we went to outback $50. And then dh got a pay cut so I took them as Walmart cards- to get the basics.

Really an added perk. Also if you shop online and go through mypoints first you also earn points.

(gosh I don't think I described it well but really it's a bonus)

The points can then be redeemed as java described.

I currently have over 10,000 points and can't decide what I want to redeem them for. That's probably the toughest part at this point.

I've just recently started to really take advantage of that feature. I don't know what took me so long. I use coupons all the time, so that should have been a natural. Oh well, at least I'm on board now.

Holy Smokes! How did I miss this? Apparently, I signed up at some point because I do have 4000 points.

I noticed today after doing a Bzz survey that it said something like...."Click here for 5 MyPoints" I haven't been "Clicking Here", so I guess I haven't gotten all the points I could have. Now I know & will certainly be on the hunt for more points!

Definitely sign up for the emails at mypoints.com. You get 5 points just for reading the email. I average about 200 points per month just for reading them.

After making several purchases about 8 months ago at Buy.com, overstock.com, Kohls and JC Penney, I suddenly realized I could have made 3000 just off those purchases, without clicking a single email, if I had still been doing MyPoints.

Now, I'm doing it again. Shopping more than clicking on emails and already I have close to a $25 gift card again.


I don't know what this Bzzz agent thing is. Obviously I'm missing out on doing another good thing.

Its an opportunity to join a campaign and test products. Then you bzz about it to family, friends, coworkers. It is all about word of mouth marketing. Every time you bzz about the product, you write a bzz report. For each bzz report you do, you earn points which can be converted to mypoints. You can also earn points by doing surveys and frogponds. Agreed! I even wrote to them asking them to please offer Disney cards (since I do so lousy on Sunshine Rewards)

I used to always get shell gas cards but those take more points for the same $$ amount as restraurants do now.
The past two years I've been redeeming points for Rainforest/Landry's cards instead.
If we don't use them at wdw, then I can I give them as gifts or to DD19 to use at the RFC in Baltimore with BF on dates.

I only read the emails and bzzagent for mypoints, because I have great success at sunshine rewards and do all my shopping through them.

For mypoints not having disney cards...I cash out for either Rainforest Cafe cards, or WalMart / Walgreens. Then whatever I would have paid cash at Walmart/Walgreens goes into the vacation account.

I just also got accepted into another one, so I'm excited to finally have alot to buzz about!

I know that you're kidding, but it seems like a good idea to point out that it is against the DIS rules to bzz on here. I'm sure that most people have never even thought about it.

I was kidding (I wasn't going to report it on their site or anything), but I didn't know that. I knew about not asking for or giving referrals, but not the buzz. I edited my post to remove the product, can you do so as well? Thanks.

It's fine to mention the product, and what you thought of it, you're just not allowed to count it as buzzing.
