I just got this email from Mypoints:
Dear Member,

We wanted to let you know of an issue that recently came to our attention which will affect your account history. A Point crediting file was processed that contained transactions which should not have been on the file. As a result, your account may have been credited Points by mistake.
We are in the process of correcting this mistake, and you will see a reversal of Points to your account for Avon.

For those members who made a purchase satisfying the criteria of the offer, you will see a credit with the appropriate number of Points.

This was for my purchase in November. Does anyone know what the "criteria" of the offer was. I think it was an email offer. I still have my order confirmation from Avon as well. I emailed back to mypoints asking why my purchase would not have satisfied the criteria of the offer and let them know I still have my email confirmation from Avon of my purchase. It shows the amount I spent as well as all the items I purchased.
 
Reminds me. Guess I did this one back in December, and never got the points. I haven't written to them yet, but maybe they won't give me my points anyway. I thought it was 500 points or 800 points for an order. I'll have to check my records/emails. I bought something for $3 with free shipping.


Edited to say, I just checked my MyPoints email folder and it was an offer in "Your MyPoints Business Center Newsletter" dated 11/22/03. The offer was for 800 points (once) and expired on December 21st. I placed my order on 12/19/03.

Guess I'll try writing them an email (now that I got my Circuit City points). Gotta get ontop of my paperwork again....
 
Just wanted to add that I sent them an email. We'll see how it goes. It'd be nice to get the points because then I could cash out for a Circuit City GC and use it towards DS's new TV. But I guess I won't hold my breath on this Avon one....
 
I purchased on November 23rd and I spent $25.
They have not responded to my email yet.
 

I got the same email this morning. I also received a couple of credits that don't match up with things I bought. I don't understand them lately!!!!

I've had a ton of points lately, mostly because my birthday shopping (whole family is in the fall) didn't credit til Christmas, and now the Christmas points are coming in. I've cashed out twice in Jan. for $75.00 webbies, and they still owe me points! Someday they'll get their act together.
 
I received this e-mail today as well and thought nothing of it because I HAD made a purchase through AVON for the 800 point offer and I had received my points. Well, I checked my MyPoints account balance this afternoon and I was credited ANOTHER 800 POINTS yesterday from Avon. As I recall, I clicked on an Avon link in the January "Connections" newsletter that I received Monday. So, maybe there was a "glitch" in the MyPoints system and the people who clicked the Avon link automatically got 800 points!?!

Oh well ..... off to try and earn more points!

I received the same email a few days ago and wish they would stop hiding behind their vague language. My 800 points were taken away and am pretty PO'd about it. Seems to me like they're trying to be sneaky. I emailed them asking what is going on and I doubt I'll get a response.
 
They emailed me yesterday requesting that I forward them my confirmation email from AVON. We'll see what happens.
I hate this. They are the easiest to earn rewards from- just in the last 6 mo I've redeemed for $50 RFC, $75 Webbies & $20 Starbucks and still have points waiting to be redeemed.
 
I got a response today explaining that the message is for certain people....

"Thank you for contacting MyPoints Member Care.

Please note that this recent issue may not affect all accounts, and if you have made a purchase from Avon in the correct way (i.e. supplying the same first/last name and email address as on your MyPoints account),you should receive your Points automatically without problem.

This mail that was sent out was mainly to point out that there were some
people who have not made an Avon order but have received Points in error, those are the Points that will be reversed.

We apologise for any confusion caused. If you have any further queries please contact us here at member care.

I replied again saying I had made a purchase AND my points were reversed. The saga continues, LOL.
 
After my purchases, they gave me 800 points on two different days. Now, they have taken away 1,600 points! I guess I'll have to email them if it is not corrected by next week.
