Mypoints advice

I'm about to place an order for the DS.com either on Mypoints or Milesource. I was opting for Mypoints because they still do webcerts and RFC certs. The only thing is, are they going out of business? If there is a scare of that, I will want to cash out now. Our trip is not until Oct '03, and that is still up in the air. If I cash out now, will my certs expire before the end of next year? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

As far as MyPoints is concerned, it is anyone's guess. They may or may not go under. If you write them directly, they will tell you that it is business as usual. But it's up to you whether you believe that or not.

MileSource has never credited me properly for shopping and I don't like the fact that you have to use your "Milesource" email address [yourusername@milesource.com] instead of your real email addy when shopping through them. It just complicates things too much.

If what you're looking to earn is webbies and RFC GC's then you should probably stick with MyPoints. Even so, I would not just let the points accumulate in my account. Cash out for webbies when you can and as it gets closer to your trip, cash in for RFC GCs if you want. That way, if they go under or raise the points for cashout, you're not stuck.

I assume DS.com is the Disney Store? Are you a member of Creation Rewards? They give 5pts per dollar for the Disney Store and have been crediting quite fast for holiday purchases...and cash out for Paypal is only 2000 pts for $10. And like mad4themouse said I too have had problems getting Milesource to credit and MyPoints usually takes 1-2 reminder emails before I get my points there.

I've stayed away from purchases from Milesource, only because I've heard of some people not getting proper credit from them.

I also see posts regarding mypoints, but seems like they are going strong! They are currently listed to join on blink, and on the msn web page a few weeks back, so seems like they are making a statement.

I know I have always gotten credited for a mypoint purchase, but I am waiting for a web certificate since November.

That doesn't help you much, now does it??? Personally, I'd go with mypoints -- but that is just my opinion.
